I have been going there since our company relocated in \r 2002. My co-workers and I have tried every resturant within a 5 mile radius. You can not beat there LUNCH specials that they have every day. You get quality food at a great price. The hostess is always friendly. The waitresses are always cheerful and courteous. They are always coming back to the table to refill your drink and to see if everything is ok. What at one time used to be a ""friendly, rude"" family style restaraunt has, in my opinion, degenerated into a rude, teen-age meat market with questionable service and food quality. Although with any establishment there are quality personell and product, it seems that the bad stuff is surfacing with more regularity. Having been in business for nearly fifteen years, and a customer for nearly as long, it is sad to see the degeneration of this establishment. What used to be a frequent stop and a place to brag about has now become a non-topic of conversation or a negative influence, not one to boast about to friends anymore. Examples of waitress complaints about tips, excuses for poor service, bad mouthing customers and late nite waitresses and/or hostess ""flaunting themselves"" when ""fresh meat"" is present, is not an excuse for poor service! The male managers, Johnny, Jamie and michael, when present, do an excellent jobs of reigning in the controls on the staff and provide an entertaining, charming atmosphere, but you gotta catch them. When the boss is away, as the saying goes ""the cat's away, the children do play"" is prevalent at this establishment. It's a shame that a once enjoyable place to take your family has now degenerated to a questionable service and quality food site. To be fair, there are still pleasant personnell and fine food dishes to be experienced. But the problem has now become knowing when the visit and knowing what to select from the menu so that it ""goes down and stays down."" On a scale of 1-10, this place can surprise you and be a 10 and the next time be a 1. Try it if you dare, late nite/early morning dining is slim in Milwaukee, but be cautious. The establishment is not a Beware but Be careful place at this time! When the hostess of the restaraunt tells an established client the ""if you don't like the service, try somewhere else"", one questions the commitment to service and quality at the establishment! My family and I dined at Johnny V?s.When the server came with our food we noticed that we didn?t have any forks on the tables and that my mothers order was wrong.I went to the host and asked for the forks and informed the women that the order was wrong.The server offered to fix the eggs but my mother informed her to forget about the bread and that she would eat the wrong food.The server told us that they are busy and that the cooks were busy with a party in the back room.My food was the worst food ever.It was one cold by the time I got it and the eggs were over cooked and water every where.I was bad I ate one of the eggs and informed the server that it was bad.She went to the owner and she took 3 dollars off a meal that I didn?t even eat The owner KATHERIN was very nasty.She told me she would only take 3 dollars off the food I didn?t eat.She also informed us that they were busy.So I guess if a place is busy then they don?t care about the service or the food quality.I feel that every table should leave happy.If they would of taken better care of me and was nice about it I would return.I hope Johnny V?s becomes a more customer friendly place in the future.I left angry and still hungry paying for a lunch that was inedible.They feel that they can offer a bad product and service and that we must pay for it.They should be ashamed on how they treated me the CUSTOMER who is all ways right, they way they did.They are unable to run a restaurant and a party at the same time.This KATHERIN should be ashamed of her self.At the end she asked me ?what do you want me to do just give you back all your money? NO!I just wanted my meal taken off and maybe an offer of dessert for my moms that was wrong.I am a server and I do understand that places can make mistakes but the way I was treated was horrible.I called to ask for the name of the manager and who every answered the phone said we are not at liberty to tell you that information.I have never herd of such nonsense in my life before.
