A little slice of mommy heaven…
Ok, so what can I say about Jitterbugz? I love it. I think I would live there if I could. Well, maybe not live there, but we definitely enjoy the time we spend there.
Jitterbugz is a great little place for moms and kids about 5 and under. There are lot of fun things for the kids to play with, including a dress up area, pretend kitchen area, small ball pit, book nook, construction zone, and more. For an additional fee, they also offer some classes, preschool, and other meetings. My favorite thing about Jitterbugz, though, is the fact that they have comfy seats for mommy and an ESPRESSO bar. Can it get any better? Moms can grab a latte and sit and relax while their kids play.
Now, moms, you still have to supervise your kiddos, so don’t be chatting on your cell phone oblivious to the fact that little Johnny is making someone cry, but it does give you a nice little break.
My only complaint about Jitterbugz, and the reason that I give it four and not five stars, is the price. If you don’t want a membership, and just want to drop in every now and then, it’s $6 per kid. That might not sound too bad until you consider all those people with two or three kids. That can really add up for an afternoon out. Even the membership doesn’t strike me as the best deal, because there are different membership tiers and you don’t get an unlimited pass until you pay something like $55/month for one child.
Even considering the price, though, this is a great place for moms to get a little break and kids to have fun playing.
