They were terrible! In 2002 they totally wrecked my brand new custom Corvette. Seems Jim Reed Chevrolet likes to let their employees take owners cars home at will. It was a standard policy for them. Their chief Corvette mechanic decided he wanted to go for a joyride in my tricked-out Vet? and lost control of the car, wrapped it around a telephone pole, then reported the car stolen. I went to Downtown Hyundai/Subaru to test drive a car and see what the monthly payments might be. I had no intention of buying a car that day. The salesman started off very nice but towards the end of the visit became very pushy. When he presented the monthly payment information, I told him I needed a day to think about it and he acted like I had betrayed him. After 1 1/2 hours I was tired and ready to leave. The salesman kept telling me to hold on one second while he talked to the manager. So finally my wife and I just got up and left. The salesman and manager followed us into the parking lot and kept talking to me, delaying my departure. My wife had to yell for me to get in the damn car before they would leave us alone. Then the emails, phone calls, and text messages started coming for the next few days. I got the impression that the manager was encouraging this kind of pushy behavior, the salesman seemed like a nice guy that was following orders. I haven't dealt with a lot of car dealerships so maybe they all act like this, but this was a horrible experience for my wife and I. If they had given me some space and not been so pushy I might have gone back the next day and bought the car. more

I just bought a vehicle from Jim reed Hyundia (downtown hyundia). It was a great experience. The staff were excellant to me and my family. I am really happy with the vehicle, it gets over 40 MPH. We went to other dealerships; however, it was the same old haggleing which I cannot stand. Downtown Hyundia is where I will buy my next vehcile in the future. more

Best Car Buying Experience Ever 1/9/2012

I am so happy with my new Hyundai Elantra! Went online and did some car comparison's and then decided to check it out for myself. So glad that I did, although I didn't think I would walk out with a new car that day I did. Wasi and the entire staff were courteous, informative and did not do the ""pressure"" sales tactic that always sends me running in the other direction. I would recommend them to anyone at anytime, so they can have the BEST car buying experience too. ;o) more

I received excellent service at Jim Reed. Wasi and Jason made me feel valued as a customer. They answered any questions I had. If they did not know the answer, they told me they did not know. Wasi was not pushy like a lot of car sales people. The used car I bought is perfect for my needs. The car was priced very reasonable. The follow up service was excellent as well. more

I'm kicking myself for not walking out when I had that gut wrenching feeling of how inconsiderate and unprofessional the sales manager, Montoyo, was. I should have never trusted them. My salesman was helpful and the only reason I stayed but later realized I DEFINITELY should NOT have purchased my Accent from them. The usual scenario, they have me drive a lavish car with $500/mo payments when they knew my situation of needing to stay $275 or below. I was made to feel like crap the entire way down to a basic Accent. Never assume cars have cruise control. When I told Montoyo that my parents just bought a 2011 Sonata with no money down and no trade for $300/mo (not a lease) he said they were mistaken and there's NO WAY! So my parents are liars. He suggested TWICE that I put a down payment on a credit card, even after I told him it's a 24% APR. He threw in the fear of spending tons of money on a car out of warranty with some rust on it and added that to the other unfortunate issues in my life right now. more

As you know, car buying isn't always the most fun experience. I found the vehicle online and sent in an inquiry, Britt called me back right away to get more details on what I was looking for. We scheduled a time to test drive and work out some figures. Britt was very knowledgable about the vehicle and it's features and very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend Jim Reed to friends and family (and especially to see Britt). Thanks Jim Reed, I'm enjoying my new vehicle. more

I had Wasi and Rahim Ashari help me. They were brothers and were super patient and willing to make a good deal with me and my father. I got the 2012 Elantra at a really good price and my overall experience at Jim Reeds was excellent. Make sure you make time though because the longer you're there the better deal you might make! Wonderful experience with the eintire staff. Starting with our sales rep., Kenny Lewis . Such a professional and made us feel right at home. Brandon Mosely, General Manager is a jewel!! He helped personally with all the transactions with our family. So far we have bought three Hyundais and plan on buying at least one more within the next year. Absolutely GREAT vehicles and worth every penny. Would recommend Jim Reed dealership to anyone interested inpurchasing a new vehicle!! :) more

Just got a new Tuscon from Jim Reed. My sales rep was WasI Ashari. He did an excellent job and made the entire experience a pleasurable one...My last experience buying a car was with Downtown Nissan, and was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had. I had the opposite situation with Jim Reed. Everyone I came in contact with was helpful. No underhanded, pushy sales pitches. Friendly and professional atmosphere. I'll be back for my next purchase! more

Bait-and-switch 6/15/2011

On May 31, I contacted Jim Reed Hyundai concerning a 2012 Hyundai Accent with a manual transmission. I spoke on the telephone with the sales manager. He informed me that they were receiving one vehicle that met my request and quoted me a price of $15,100 before tax, title, and license and a price of $16,818 after. I researched the product online, which was listed on their website at a price of $15,085 before tax, title, and license. The online price and the quoted price were consistent. I arrived at the dealership three days later (June 3, when the cars were available to drive) to test drive a vehicle and make a purchase. At that time, I was assisted by a sales representative. The manual transmission vehicle was not available, but I was willing to make a deposit and secure the vehicle upon its arrival after driving an automatic. The salesman, after speaking with the sales manager, presented a price that was $1,600 more expensive than the advertised price (both prices before tax, title, license). When I identified this as being incorrect with the advertised price, the sales agent spoke with the sales manager once more and informed me that the advertised price would not be honored, but they would meet me in the middle and ONLY raise the price $800 more than what was advertised. I advised the agent that I was quoted the price of $16,818 by the sales manager on May 31 as the final price after tax, title, and license. At this time, the sales manager entered the conversation. He denied ever having quoted the prices mentioned above and that he would not honor such a price even though it was consistent with the advertised price online. Jim Reed Hyundai is illegally baiting customers with advertised and quoted prices and then attempting to change the price at the time of purchase. Jim Reed claims to record their phone conversations, but they do not record outbound calls. This allows them to call back with information a customer requests, but not have a record of the conversation. This was my first and last experience with this dealership. more


What a great dealership! The whole staff there was friendly and helpful. They definitely know the art of making a car deal. My salesman, Ish Saddler, was awesome. The general manager, Brandon, was exceptional. I have never seen a GM at any other dealership that was so positively involved with with all his salesmen and that greeted every customer. Lance in finance department was great...still friendly but got the job done quickly and efficiently. I recommend to anyone looking to buy their next vehicle to visit this dealership. more

My husband and I had been searching for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata for about a mth. We had received the run around from the local Hyundai dealership here in Clarksville when we contacted Jim Reed what had taken us well over 3 weeks to try to accomplish price wise with our local dealership was accomplished in a 10 min phone call to Jim Reed. We worked with Rahim and Rania and there customer service and professionalism were bar none! Their service has not stopped with the sale I have received calls to ensure that my purchase has been comfortable for me. Rahim offered to come in on his day off just to walk through the features of my vehicle more thoroughly (since we drove a hour to get to them it was late). I appreciate all that they have done thus far for my family. I can definitely say that we will be repeat customers when the need arises again! more
