Don't tell them what you are willing to spend. They will give you mediocre and inflate thier prices to match that value. I did not have anything custom made they ordered from a bulk manufacturer and just had to set the stone in a 4 prong setting. They got it done but when I asked why it was so expensive ""THE COST OF GOLD"" the only reason I was told. They constantly referenced ""I see you wanted to spend $500"". Sure I was over charged I took the earrings to another place got a value of $339. Exact mounting out of a catalogue and jem size. I sent a reply to Jewelsmith of why the high cost again in the email they refered to ""you wanted to spend $500"" more

After searching and searching for the perfect wedding set, my husband and I visited Jewelsmith. I had liked their positive reviews on CitySearch, and we had both loved their beautiful and unique collections on their website. We had been searching for months and had been unable to find anything close to what I wanted; a simple aquamarine solitaire; however, Patrick was able to find the perfect setting right away. He called us the next day to assure us that gems were on the way, and we were able to look at those and pick one out within a week. Patrick was even able to ensure that my rings would be ready quicker than expected, as our wedding was coming up very soon. He FedEx'ed them overnight to us, and while FedEx gave us quite a hassle, the set arrived in perfect condition the day before our wedding. It is absolutely perfect and exactly what I had been wanting for a wedding set forever. I couldn't have asked for more beautiful rings or better service! Thank you! I was able to meet these great people and make a decision on a ring that best describes my wife. The ring was made by Phil the goldsmith, and Patrick King and I sat down to come up with a design. Huge selection in stones ,minerals, and precious metal. I chose Jewelsmith because of their unique way of thinking outside of the box and boring tradition. I am not boring nor is my wife Jessica . My fiance and I went to every jewelry store in the triangle (or at least it feels like it) while shopping for his wedding ring. Every store seemed to have the same style rings. I have shopped at most of the nicer jewelry stores in the area and Jewelsmith is definitely in a league all it's own! I moved here ten years ago from New York City and it even gives the exclusive stores there a run for their money. First and foremost, the jewelry designs are amazing. The quality and selection of the stones they use are the best I've ever seen in one store. If you don't shop here you are really missing the boat- when it comes to fine jewelry.
