Jewel of India

This to me, from the outside anyway, looked like one of the nicer Indian restaurants on the strip of Devon where you're taken into a "little India/Pakistan" section of the city. It's kind of plain inside, a little too white, but still clean and nice looking, with an amazing chandelier. There was only one server working and it got kind of busy soon after I arrived here, so service was definitely slower than I would like. I also kind of felt that people that got there at the same time or after I did got a little bit prompter service, for some reason, but at least I wasn't in a huge hurry. Still the server was very polite and helpful in picking out menu items, and the food was delicious when it finally came out. I recommend this place if you're not in a hurry and want some good authentic Indian food! more

This place is always empty, so take a hint from that. I went here once because they were serving some student biryani for a very low price. I was not very happy with what I got. The food tasted like it was three days old and it was dripping with oils. If you want a good tasting biryani that is not too high priced, then go to gareeb nawaz which is just a few minutes away. If you go to this place you will get stale food. more
