After remodeling my living room and dining room sixteen months ago I was looking for some new window treatments. What better way to modernize a new room then with cordless blinds. Thinking that this was the way to go; I turnded to JCPenney Custom Decorating.\r
I recieved treatments for a three-pannel bay window in the front of my house. Sixteen months after my purchase I quickly found out that JCPenney's ""Quality Guarantee"" is non existant. My blinds are not abused and I follow all of the proper procedures for using my blinds. So I was shocked that one of them would beak not allowing the blind to stay up. \r
I didn't think this was going to be an issue considering that when I purchased my blinds I was told that I had a lifetime warranty. After talking to several people in the Custom Decorating Department I found out that ""Quality Guaruntee"" and ""Lifetime Warranty"" equals an $85 plus tax charge for an installer to come and validate that my blind is broke and take it in for repair. \r
I have no other choice but to pay this fee because I cannot have one blind that will not go up but I am very unhappy with JCPenney and their product. My only hope is that they will be able to fix the original blind so that it matches my other two treatments. \r
I have eight other windows in my house that I was ready to have custom decorated by JCPenney, but after my recent encounter I have moved the rest of my buisness to Bali Blinds through Lowes and I advise anyone else looking into cordless blinds to do the same, because unlike JCP Lowes will stand by their product and make any repairs on their dollar.
