Fooled me once.... 11/10/2018

We ordered an L shaped sofa from Jarons. We saw a fabric we liked. It was affordable. We were told by the salesperson that it was "top of the line" for that manufacturer (England Furniture--a division of La-Z Boy). The sofa arrived this morning with a tear in the fabric and with the hooks necessary to link the two pieces together misaligned. I refused delivery. I went to Jaron's in Bordentown. I spoke with Gary. I requested either a refund or a store credit. He claimed it wasn't possible because our sofa was a "special order." Then he said he would have to "see" the damage and the defect in order to give me an answer about how they would "fix" it and call me Monday. So, at the end of the day they are telling me that I must accept a sofa I paid to be "new" the same as if I were buying from the "damaged goods" section and had someone "fix" it. We haven't even SAT on it. If you have any other option, avoid shopping here. I wish to God I had. The affordability is attractive, especially with a kid in college. But at the end of the day, you really do get what you pay for at Jarons. You won't pay much and you won't get much. In the long run you will lose money. And they will just say, "Things happen." (Gary, the manager, actually said that to me and wanted to know “why” I was upset. I have over 2000 reason$ to be upset.) So, if you can find another way and another place, do. I will never make this mistake again and am just mortified that I made it this time. more

Never a bad experience 5/5/2018

I have Benn dealing with Jarons for quite some time now and have even gotten to know some of the staff. I'm always impressed by their professionalism there and their ability to remain patient no matter how challenging a sale may become. In all my dealing with the company if ever I did have a small problem with a piece of furniture I had just purchased it was always dealt with immediately as to not inconvenient me and I always feel like my business is greatly appreciated. Not only is the staff excellent so is the prices. If you shop around you will definitely find that to be true. I have no desire to shop anywhere else. more

Time well spent 6/22/2011

We shopped at Jarons and then shopped at at least 5 other stores until we finally made our way back to Jarons in Bordentown. We didn't believe them when they claim their prices are the lowest and they have the best service, but they were right. Not only did we find their pricing to be the best but they delivered next day, set it up and even said thank you for the business. We now don't have to go through that process again, we really do trust what they say. Leslie - Burlington NJ more

Very happy with our purchase! 6/22/2011

We were looking to furnish our son's bedroom. I found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and personable, and there was quite a variety of furniture to choose from. We shopped around at other places, but Jaron's had the best prices. All in all, our son loves his new room, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. Would highly recommend! more

Looks Good on the Surface 5/18/2010

My husband and I bought a bedroom set from Jarons, special ordered. It was a good price and exactly what we wanted. We were told it would be in in 4 weeks. 5 weeks later we get a phone call that it will be an additional 2 weeks. No problem. We spend a Saturday waiting for them to deliver the furniture. They finally deliver it and the footboard is cracked. We refuse the footboard and they give us a discount on another a chest of drawers we were going to purchase to go with the rest of the set. Great right? So another two weeks go by and we spend another Saturday waiting for our furnture. This time the footboard is fine but our chest is broken. Don't you think they would check that kind of thing before delivery? We're still waiting on our new chest. We called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do about the broken furniture, that "those things happen." Really? I don't know about anyone else but I do not have the time to spend waiting at home for three Saturdays to receive my furniture that I ordered over three months ago. The stuff we got is great but wasn't worth the hassle or the wait that came with it. more

Reasonable Prices and Variety 10/26/2005

This is a large furniture store right on Route 206 in the small town of Bordentown. They have pretty reasonable prices. The last time I was there I was looking for leather sofas and they had good selection of them. They also carry bedroom sets, dining room, and living room sets and some extras like lamps. They have a lot of arm chairs, too. They also have a scratch and dent section which is nice if you're trying to save money. Delivery is offered for a fee. more
