Janet's Mediterranean Cusine

Ever since we found this place my wife and I just can't get enough. We live in West Covina but we drive out to Duarte just for Janet's! The food is made fresh to order and is so yummy that it taste's like it should cost at least double than what I pay for. I usually get the chicken plate which comes with rice, a deliciously fresh tossed salad (with a dressing that is truly unique) and humus on the side. \r \r This is the best Med food we have ever had hands down. We call in and have food delivered for meetings at my office. The food itself is so beautiful and delicious -- and reasonably priced for food of this quality. This family owned business is warm and accommodating, and a pleasure to do business with! Check it out, you will be surprised. (The location itself is a small, clean, modest one.) Pros: Delicious food, and if dining in: great smells, very nice proprietors and clientele, easy parking, freeway close. Cons: Not suitable for a very large group to sit together. more

I love Janet's- they have the best creamiest Hummus i've tasted so far. I've been to many Mediterranean Restaurants that were about double if not triple the price of Janets and had horrible food. Janet's takes their time cooking your food to perfection. It's a small place but worth it. If you're not in a hurry stop in and have lunch or dinner- the service is nice and the lamb is awesome! If you're having lunch i recommend ordering your food before- everything is fresh and needs its time to be made. One draw is that there is a $10 minimum for using the credit card terminal- i say just order some extra hummus to go- they have big containers for like $5 that is worth it.
