Small Town and Local Favor 8/5/2005

This bookstore is operated by an old couple who love books. This bookstore is also one of the local favorites but there seems not many people actually go there to buy books. They have a lot of social science and philosophy second hand books. They also have some very old downtown postcards. This bookstore seems to be there for a long time. Sometimes I am wondering how they can survive. But sure that I hope they can continue to exist. more

Great location, good selection, ok prices 8/2/2005

If you're into rare books, or old books, or books with fine bindings, this is the place to find them. The shop has a unique ambiance that starts the minute you open the door, and the old paper and leather smell surrounds you. While the selection of old and rare books is large, there are very few newer titles. There are also virtually no paperbacks. So, if you're just looking for a deal on used books, look elsewhere. The prices are in line with the rareness of the stock as well and are not for the faint of heart. Overall, a good value for some hard to find pieces. more
