not as it seems 3/27/2009

First of all do not believe any apartment complex when they tell you they are d_ _g free. I have seen management walk past someone smoking w_ _d and did not say anything. The police are not over there as much as they say. They also lied when the said people can not have big animals. There are people that stay by the leasing office with as you already know pit bulls. My only problem is do not let a person think that they are moving their family in a some what secure area. I could have stayed on Bankhead where I was at for all of that. When you pay a little extra for something you expect for it to be better quality or service. They really need to lower their rent. These apartments are NOT WHAT THEY SEEM TO BE. Management can be very rude. I only stayed here for 4 months. Also there is always somebody fighting man, women, and child you name it they are fighting. I have seen it all. more

What a choice 1/9/2009

Lived at Jackson Landing Apartments for over a year and it was the most miserable year of my life. I advise anyone considering moving to that community to rethink it. Management is very weak, and they are not very concerned about their tenants. This community is loaded with unwanted guest and full of plumbing problems. They charge way to much rent and does not keep the property up. I regret i ever moved here it was one of the biggest mistakes i have ever made in my life. Thank God i am moving out now and have to spray all of my belongings to ensure i don't carry any unwanted guest with me. If you like low living standards and four legged friends then Jackson Landing is the perfect place for you to they have plenty of that. Pros: Close to highway for a quick escape Cons: The Building is still standing more

This place puts HORROR in HORRIBLE 5/12/2008

A nightmare come to life! 1/3/2008

I lived at Jackson's Landing (formerly Riverwalk) Apartments for about ten months. It got so bad in June that I moved to a new home. Unfortunately, after months of complaining about black mold, water pouring down from the apartment above through my ceiling, neighborhood thugs threatening myself and my roommates, and two g a n g s fighting on May 28, I couldn't take it anymore. The management company was First Communities. I attempted to contact them over and over, after things started to get bad, and they mysteriously disappeared, claiming the offices were being remodeled. Other apartment was arsoned, and I was moved into a smaller place with no heat and no furniture. After the fire, we were locked out of our home, and did not even know what had survived the flames. They did not bother to even secure the doors to the units that were damaged, yet promised us they would be boarded up. I happened to be driving by, found the security guard (watching TV in his car), and demanded that I be allowed to at least try locking my door. The noise was constant and unbearable. Kids would run up and down the stairs, slam the doors, stomp on the floor above the bedrooms and living room. They would also hollow out cigars, throw the tobacco down onto our balcony below, refill the tubes with dope, and smoke up. Often times, we'd see McDonald's wrappers come flying off the patio above, as well. To top all of this off, the building that burned and was structually compromised was not torn down. It has been rebuilt around the fire damage. Go, First Communities, Go! Way to live up to that promised $3 Million renovation! Way to lie to get people into your death trap, and then go back on your promise of security, peace, and safety! Cons: Nasty office employees, maintance workers, and neighbors more
