I work long and hard hours, with little time to shop. Jack, the owner , personally stayed until 9 pm, well after the store had closed, to help me select the right carpet.\r \r The price per sq foot was close to larger competitors, but what made the difference was personal service.\r \r If you are looking for quality service, eac step of the process, then Jack's Carpet is the place to go Jack himself still takes the time to help customers. more

After reading some of the reviews for other Jack's locations, I was concerned about shopping at Jack's, but the salesman who helped me seemed reliable and knowledgable, so I decided to try it. It turned out to be a huge mistake.\r \r I ordered over 1000 sqaure feet of carpet from Jack's. Only after I had signed the contract and paid my deposit was I told that the carpet was backordered and couldn't be reserved for another week. When I called back in a week, I was told that it was backordered for another week. At this point, I asked to cancel my order, but I was told that the order couldn't be cancelled because I had financed it and they didn't know how to cancel it (don't get me started on the ""financing."" It turns out it's a credit card with a 30% APR that you just don't pay the balance on for a year if you want 12 months of ""financing.""). When I called the week after that, I was told that it was still backordered and pressured to choose another color. I came into the store and chose another color. Backordered. A third color. Backordered. A fourth color. Backordered. Then I was told that the carpet wasn't backordered, but had come out of the factory and other people ""snatched it up"" before it could be reserved for me, so we had to wait for more. At this point, I asked to cancel the order again. I was made to wait 20 minutes, and then somehow, the order had been placed for my original color choice and it was reserved.\r \r A week after that, I was told that installation had been scheduled for a Saturday. No time on Saturday, just Saturday and that they would call when they were on their way. I called the installation center the day before and was told the crew would be at my house at 10am, and would call when they were on their way. At 8am on Saturday, I got a call from the installation crew, who were waiting at my house (where I was not home, not expecting them until 10). The installation crew were very nice about the situation, waited for me to get there and then installed the carpet very quickly. They were easily the most pleasant part of the process. Unfortunately, they didn't do a great job, as the seams are very visible and they destroyed all of the baseboards on the stairs. It took 32 days of aggravation to get this carpet installed and I am not pleased with the final result. I would not use Jack's again. more

Horrible customer service. Promised me carpet install and call 2 weeks later to tell me my order isn't big enough. Avoid at all costs. more
