The location on Beecave Road and 71 lost my clothes the very first order I left at their store. The clothes included a new suit. Two months later, Jack Brown cleaners continues to tell me every week they are going to write a check for the lost clothes, and yet they continue to make excuses for why they don't follow through with compensation. The lack of professionalism at Jack Brown has not bothered me as much as the lack of integrity. Don't expect the store to honor its word, or respect your clothing. Cypress Creek Jack Brown Cleaners - Completely Incompetent 7/22/2009

Incompetent manager. Doesn't take responsibility for mistakes and gives customers the ""run around"". Completely screwed up to orders, one after the other. After the first screw-up, the manager said she fixed the problem in the computer and then blamed her part timer for the mistake, but assured me it was taken care of. Same thing happened next time, and the only solution was to offer a discount on future cleanings. Refused to give me a refund. Trying to call corporate and have someone take care of me b/c I have been a loyal customer of them for quite some time. DON'T TAKE YOUR CLOTHES TO JACK BROWN CLEANERS ON CYPRESS CREEK!! Completely Incompetent 12/31/2008

I took a very expensive jacket to have dry-cleaned recently. When I went to go pick it up, my completely white jack had turned greyish blue. Not only that, the bottom of the jacket as well as the sleeves all had dark blue marks. On top of that, there were gigantic dirty spots on my jacket that were never there in the first place. When I pointed this out to them, they told me it was due to the dirt and the chemicals mixing together which caused the strange staining. Now, they must send it to the 'professionals' to have the clean it with 'different' chemicals, which apparently takes 2 weeks. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company ever!!! Fraudulent business practives/false advertising 3/6/2008

i recently took my duvet and bed skirt to Store #11 to have dry cleaned in response to a special that Jack Brown Cleaners advertised for both these items. My husband picked up the order approximately 5 days later when they said it would be ready and paid $29.00. We were both flabbergasted to find out that neither the duvet nor the bed skirt had been pressed. In fact, it appeared that NOTHING AT ALL had been done to the two items except that both were wrinkled so much I almost did not recognize my linens. My husband returned the items immediately to the cleaner and was told tby them hey did not have a press that could handle a duvet or bed skirt so they put it in the dryer. CAN YOU IMAGINE ENTRUSTING A BUSINESS THAT SPECIALIZES IN DRY CLEANING WITH DESIGNER LINENS AND THEN LEARNING THAT THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE EQUIPMENT TO GET OUT WRINKLES? ISN'T THAT WHAT ANY DRY CLEANER IS N THE BUSINESS OF DOING? We could not believe this explanation!! Then the woman said a lot of people have said the same thing -- that they,too, did not understand why their duvet/qulit/bed skirt order was so wrinkled. She then said we should call the owner at headquarters. We did and left several messages but to date no one has called back. We again returned to the store and asked for a credit since the work on these items was not performed as promised. Again, we got the ""run around"" and were told that we'd need to come back ""between 7 AM and 1 PM"" but the manager was not in at that time. We have also left messages on the corporate complaint hotline so apparently they must have many, many complaints to deal with. Probably a massive backlog. We will be calling our credit card company and filing a formal complaint as well as writing all of the local consumer reporters about the poor service we received. more

Terrible customer service - Slaughter Lane 3/19/2007

In at 9, out by 6 as advertised on their website does not really happen. Neither does the it's right, it's ready, or it's free. Dropped off an order at 7:58 and it still wasn't in the store by 6:45. Manager at Slaughter Lane location was rude and I have to agree with other reviews that the customer service is the worst. Unfortunate because I have not had that issue with their other Oak Hill location. I'll just go around the corner to the other location on Escarpment next to the hair place. She didn't seem to see the humor in her statement but I sure got a laugh out of it. more

Poor service, worse customer service 1/11/2007

Store on Anderson Lane: brought in a brand new shirt I had worn it once to a wedding. It was clean, but needed to be laundered for another event. When I picked it up the first time, there were new, small green spots on the shirt and several pieces of animal hair on it. I pointed out the new stains and asked for it to be redone. The employee acted as if this were my problem and she was doing me a favor by sending it back. Pros: many locations Cons: they ruin your clothing more

Destroyed king size comforter! 9/11/2006

I took my king comforter to the Farwest store for dry cleaning, went on a Saturday to pick up, Jack Brown employee could not locate for a few minutes then brought a black kitchen trash bag to the counter w/my comforter shoved in it!! The batting is destroyed, the comforter is shot, and it was soured!! I took it to the main store on Northland/2222 as the employee suggested; filled out an incident report, left a message for Jeff Brown asking him to phone me first thing Mon. a.m., never heard a word. Finally spoke w/him and nothing has happened since; this has been over 2 1/2 weeks now. He does not return calls so today I spoke w/the Farwest mgr. Mona who informed me they do not have hangers large enough for king comforters and this is how they package them! I said the comforter was wadded up and shoved in the bag and she replied this is how they handle them. I spent around 400.00 for the comforter alone which goes w/curtains, valances, and multiple throw pillows (jeweled and silk). I spent over 2 hours on-line trying to locate another to no avail; even contacted the designer, no luck. Cons: too many more

Very friendly, helpful with coupon suggestions 2/16/2006

After getting blindsided by Reid's for a ridiculous cleaning bill, I called Jack Brown for some comparable quotes, and while the prices were somewhat similar (Jack brown is cheaper), the fellow on the phone told me to go to the website to print out coupons, and that wednesdays were their trouser and shirt discount days (without coupon). I love good customer support and now that I'm new to the area, I don't intend on getting blind sided by Reid's again. I highly recommend Jack Brown especially at the 2222/northland location that I go to. They're great there. AM Pros: helpful people, website coupons, discount days Cons: normal prices more
