Worst

I used to be a bigger fan of JCrew. Now, they're TRYING to sell too much trendy crap, I'm sure it was a gamble they might be figuring out was a bad idea. Pros: some sale item...

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/24/2013

I just went into the store with a pair of boxers that was given to me as a gift. I simply wanted to exchange them. I spoke to two lady's and then finally the manager I believe. She was totally rude and said that they don't have this boxer model anymore and plus I don't have the receipt anyways so they wouldn't be able to exchange them for another size regardless. They were a gift of course I don't have the receipt and I was simply exchanging them. They still had cardboard rapping around them and the tags! How pathetic. Abercrombie, another store that I don't shop at, at least let me exchange the other boxers that were gifted to me, but in the wrong size. It was the exact same situation with the two different companies and I learned J-Crew is a company I will not do business with.\r \r Besides the terrible customer service, the clothes might look trendy. but that's about it. They are incredibly over priced, and terrible quality. I was saying to my girlfriend that there clothes serve no function whatsoever other than to look stylish and I can't understand why any guy would shop there. If you want something that expensive then go to somewhere like Filson where they make most of there clothes in Seattle. It's expensive, but American made and guaranteed for life. It's top quality, you'll have it forever. Most importantly they stand behind there product and care about there customers. more

Have you stepped inside lately? 10/19/2006

Since all the reviews listed were from 2002 I thought it was time for an update. Have you been inside a J.Crew lately? It's fall there and the warmth of the color pallet and cashmere show it. Yes it may be true that the prices are higher but for the quality of the product it's really the best. Their cashmere comes from Loro Piana, their shoes are made in Italy, and they have leather bags tumbled by Borge Gavarie. I love J.Crew and have been shopping there for years, they have basic items as well as the really great, one-of-a-kind pieces that really make a statement. It's not just chinos anymore. Plus what's better they have kids clothes and bothe my daughter and I love there little versions of preppy. If you haven't been stopped by in awhile, you should, but this isn't the Gap so you should expect quaulity and expect to pay for it. On a side note, since this references the Bellevue location, you should know that they are remodeling so things look a little rough around the edges, but the service and products are still fantastic. Pros: quality for the price is unbeatable. You can even find great prices on sale, if you like that kind of shopping. Cons: construction more

Run 8/25/2002

I have never been able to find something at J Crew. Their clothing is too expensive and not well made. I just don't bother going in there, especially when I can buy bland clothing for much less if I wanted to. more

Run, Don't Wak, Away 6/4/2002

The prices are horible, the clothes are poorly made, the employees are very arrogant and pretty mean. The clothes are boring and can be duplicated at Old Navy, just without the attitude. Pros: Good for a Laugh Cons: Employees, Lack of originality, Price more
