I was shocked to read the denigrated review of jjames by bealy. Having been a huge fan of the restaurant for years I have gotten to know the chef/owner as well and find him to be quite contrary to what bealy wrote. I inquired personally to hear what he had to say of the experience and found a very fair and reasonable explanation, and my conclusion is that the diners were uneducated, unreasonable and not forthright in explaining the full situation. Jeff James is a highly talented chef and person of integrity, and moral standard. His business is a reflection of his quality standards of genuine hospitality; exciting, fresh, and innovative Northwest cuisine; and a highly skilled staff with an acute knowledge of cuisine, wine, and execution of service. There are not enough independent, quality owned restaurants in our city and it is unfortunate his business may have suffered consequences far extending bealy's family because of their seemingly malicious intent to disparage him. His efforts to create a unique quality dining experience in this city are greatly appreciated by myself and many others. I gladly and highly recommend jjames restaurant as a quality dining experience to not disappoint. My personal favorites are the Parmesan crusted Rockfish, spinach & ruby red grapefruit salad, risotto any preparation, and his homemade ice creams-they are the best around! Also, jjames' al fresco dining in the summer is unparalleled in the beautiful Pringle Park, the only restaurant in a park setting. I will be upping my 2-3 x a month visit with fellow fans to continue our support of such a great restaurant.
Pros: Food & service high quality, ambience in park setting, great area for parties & dates
