Included in this review is part of a the letter I sent to Islands Tanning in West Linn. I do not recommend this tanning salon at all! The ""corporate office,"" if one even exists, only has a fax machine and the standard song and dance employees give you is that you have to fax corporate if you have questions. The corporate office apparently has no phone line or email. If you sign a contract with Islands Tanning, don't ever expect anyone who works for them to help you.
My particular story stems from my job loss, which occurred July 2, 2010. I knew that the $97 payment for July would be coming out of my account at the middle of the month, so I entered the Islands Tanning salon at approximately 11 AM on July 14, to speak to someone about my account. My goal was to have someone contact the corporate office for me, as I do not have a fax machine in my home, and help facilitate a deferred payment plan or a reduced payment plan, however, the man who helped me did not listen to the first few words of my plea before he interrupted me.
He started stammering instantly and proceeded to make random comments about empathy, his lost BMW and then proceeded to twitch and spit. I did not catch his name, but he was tall, had reddish-brown short hair, wore a pink and blue-ish pin stripped shirt and looked like he'd visited too many fast food restaurants in his life. He was probably close to 30 years old, though he acted like a sullen 13-year-old.
By the end of the discussion, he was angry and so was I and as I started to walk out of your fine (insert sarcasm here) establishment your wonderful employee yelled “F*ck off!” at me and I returned the same to him, with the added hand gesture for good measure. And then your young man apparently lost his mind and started saying over and over again as I walked to my car,
“HAVE A NICE DAY!”
I could still hear him yelling as I closed my car door.
Cons: too many to list
