All I can say is OMG!!! 11/17/2011

Good: - Food: better than five star expensive restaurant - Portions: LARGE - Presentation: Good - Service: just amazing, made us feel so special - Ambiance: Loved the patio, rustic look, no pretend Best dishes: where do I start? Tuna Tartar, Crab salad, Goat cheese, Prawns, Scallops, Lamb chops, and last - Risotto...oh so yum!. Bad: Everyone knows about this place, it was so crowded on a weekday. Improvements: A bigger place so that you can accommodate more people. Other: Do not miss this place, just amazing - the best.. more

ISA--San Francisco's Gem 6/10/2006

I was in San Francisco this weekend and we had dinner at ISA (located in the Marina). The ambiance was very warm and the service was great. We were greeted by our server and was seated quickly. Their menu was just enough. I didn't get overwhelmed with all the choices. The portions are decent and we all shared our dishes. We had the Foie Gra (the pieces were big and the taste was very light and flavorful), the seared Scallops (delicious!), sea bass wrapped with potato skin (this was one of the most memorable plate), and the free range chicken with sage. All the dishes came quickly and all tasted very good. We had the crab salad with mango and green apples (very refreshing). For dessert we had the grapefruit granite and the flourless cake. The granite was so refreshing, I could have ate the whole bowl by myself. The cake was awesome! It wasn't too sweet or rich, just perfect. If you're ever in the SF area, you must visit this place. It's one of the best small plates place I've been to in SF. Just remember to make reservations. The place gets very crowded! more
