We had a HORRIBLE experience here 3/12/2015

We had a HORRIBLE experience here. My girlfriend dropped off our dog for a grooming at 8AM. There were no calls or texts to update how our dog was doing. Six hours later I get a call saying he is ready to be picked up.\r \r A check-up exam was supposed to be completed by the time I arrived. It WASN'T. The receptionist was totally DISORGANIZED and couldn't even find the medical file. She asked if I wanted the vet to check him at that point (since they didn't earlier) and I said okay.\r \r It took the vet about five-ten minutes to do the exam, which I found to be incredibly fast. How do you thoroughly check a dog in that amount of time and still hold a DVM license? That is unbelievable to me. On top of that, when I asked to speak with the vet about lumps on my dog's skin, she was unavailable, because she was with another patient. Really? This is how you treat first time customers??\r \r When they brought him out he seemed FRIGHTENED & TIMID. He wasn't his usual self, wagging his tail, and happ more

This is how you treat first time customers??\r \r When they brought him out he seemed FRIGHTENED & TIMID. He wasn't his usual self, wagging his tail, and happy to see me. He yelped a few times when I was holding him on the leash, like his neck was HURTING.\r \r When we entered the apartment, he went directly under the bed, and he was SHAKING, WHILE FACING THE WALL. He still won't come out. He seems like he is in PAIN and I will take him to another vet, if he isn't feeling better soon.\r \r After he went under the bed, I called the complex and amazingly their only manager is out of the office, and the only one to speak to is another receptionist.\r \r Please take your pets somewhere else to be groomed and receive medical attention. I'd hate for others to have the same experiences we did with this place. more

Excellent Service! 7/27/2011

I have been going here for years now. My dog loves the atmosphere and always comes home in a good mood. Where other dog walkers/groomers treat their ""clients"" just as a meal ticket, Johnny and Ty truly take an interest in knowing and caring for the the dogs in their care. I recommend them to everyone who cares about their pet. You really get your money more

Don't GO 7/8/2010

I don't know about Dr. Harner, but I wouldn't let Dr. Lawrence Zarrilli near my dog again within a ten mile radius. He convinced me my dog was a doberman pinscher when he's really a mixed breed that may have some doberman in him.\r He wanted to CROP his EARS and for a HUGE PRICE! \r I got so far as to look at the paper work and they OFFERED pain medication, it WASN'T REQUIRED! Can you believe that?\r Don't go to this hospital! more

5 stars all the way!!! 11/25/2009

My experience with the Irvine Pet Complex has been nothing but outstanding. I was referred by my neighbor and friend. The staff are so friendly and Dr Harner is the best. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and trustworthy. I have been to other vets in irvine that really 'missed the mark' for me. Well not here! I have had my cats groomed, medical checkups and boarded. My cat is diabetic and the boarding is safe here because there is a doctor 'on duty' and the staff are medically aware. Each and every interaction I have with this animal hospital makes me happier and happier I came here. Pros: friendly, professional, convenient more

TLC 4/26/2008

I have been going to Irvine Pet Complex for several years now and would not even consider going anywhere else. I have 3 dogs, one a rare Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog. Dr. Harner is the only vet I contacted who was familiar with the breed, and I contacted several in the Orange County area. The staff is courteous and competent, and the vets are excellent in knowledge and caring. I would recommend Irvine Pet Complex to anyone who cares about their pet and wants a reasonable cost.\r \r Doris Stark more

WONDERFUL.... 2/7/2008

Irvine Pet Complex is one of the best around! I brought both my dog and my cat there on separate occasions. Dr. Rob is wonderful, thoughtful and caring! He saved my dog's life and made excellent recommendations for my little kitty. Not expensive, and Dr. Rob is one of the best around! more

Rip-Off: Uneeded Vaccinations for Dog 1/21/2008

The vet recommended two optional vaccinations for my adult dog: the Lyme disease vac and the Corona vac. I went ahead and got them, because I thought it was in my pet's best interest. Upon further research from reputable sources, I discovered that it was a waste of money to get these vacs. Corona for example, is not a theat to adult dogs. The likelihood of Lyme disease is also extremely rare in southern CA. Research it before you buy it when it comes to this place. The facility is nice looking--but guess who pays for it..you. more

Competent 11/5/2005

I have brought my dog in for vaccinations. They have competent personnel to handle the ordinary situations. Also recently brought in my dog related to an airplane travel and was given sleeping pills for the dog. Everything worked out in the end. more

perfect 8/16/2005

This place not only takes care of cats and dogs but do special in birds. They are greatly expensive for there services but are worth the money. What is special about them is that they save all kind of animals. They specialize in birds. A basic checkup starts from 40.00 and shots do increase the price. I like the neighborhood, very clean, and there is a play area for the pets too. more
