I've been going to IO for about 2 years, following Erin (my favorite hairstylist ever). She does an absolutely terrific job on both color and cut, at a competitive price, and the cut and color is consistently great. People constantly ask where I get my hair done. She and everyone at the salon are friendly without being intrusive. It's one of my few true indulgences. The salon itself is really just a very groovy loft with lots of natural light, high ceilings, exposed wood. It's not a see and be seen kind of place and I like it that way - very low key. Cornish's new facilities are being built and that may change the complexion of the existing neighborhood which is super non-descript - you would never ever know such a great place was there. I've been a client of Tracy Pucci's at IO for over 8 years. Her work is consistently terrific. I appreciate that Tracy tailors her color and cut services to the client. I spent a few years going to Seattle's high end designers - and recognized ""my"" hairstyle on almost all of their other clients. I have been going to this salon since my friend recommended her stylist to me a few years ago. I guess everyone's salon experience depends on who their stylist is, but I am very pleased with the service I get! The salon is in a building that looks like a warehouse, but it's very trendy inside. The mirrors are large frames that sit on artists' easels or against the large windows. There is a lot of dark wood and exposed beams. The receptionists always offer you something to drink, and even run out to check on the meter for you if your appointment lasts longer than expected. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the haircut (mid-to-high end)... I think you'd pay less than at Gene Juarez. Pros: Nice people, Great hair, Great value more
