Our 16 month old higher-end Sony MiniDV cam was in and out for repair four times between 12/06 and 3/07 because technician insisted reinsert cassette error was due to our using dirty (we didn't and error wasn't consistent with that) tape rather than learn (even by Googling!) and easily fix well-known (in Sony) supply reel fault (C:31:23). Rather than return it a fourth wasted time for more arguing with techie at owner's warm invitation(!), we have complained with Better Business Bureau (they are members and have a previously unblemished record!) and sent camera back to Sony.
