My husband and I stayed here for a week while he took the Texas Bar Exam, and had high hopes that it would be a quiet retreat for him to study and recharge each day after hours of testing. However, our first evening in the hotel was marred by a loud group in the room next to us that kept us up late when we knew he had to wake up early the next morning. We called the front desk to report the problem, and were told that, unfortunately, the hotel was booked and there were no other rooms available. My husband pushed a bit, and we were ultimately given a handicap room on the next floor down. This would have been fine except that it smelled heavily of smoke (even thought it wasn't a smoking room), and there was absolutely no closet or counter space. So, I called again, and after some more explaining and waiting, we were FINALLY moved to a normal, quiet, non-smelly hotel room. We thought things would be better from that point forward, but the next morning, we had to call down to Room Service no less than THREE times to have them keep bringing up pieces of our breakfast order that they kept forgetting! It was pretty ridiculous. Although the remainder of our stay was relatively problem-free, we just got a poor impression of this hotel based on our first couple days. The rooms are clean and the location is nice, so with a little clean-up on the customer service front, it might be a great place to stay.
