Restaurant owner seeking management advice 10/13/2010

I own a small restaurant (first time entrepreneur) and was needed to improve efficiencies in use of hard and soft resources. Beyond improving the use of these resources I was needing effective tools to communicate this to staff (full and part time) and align the goals of all my employees. I worked with Randi, who was a great source of 1. strategy and 2. advice. Very effective in helping me increase overall efficiencies while maintaing the positive, collaborative environment we've worked hard to foster. Coaching was an exemplary use of resources. more

Tough coaching yields results 10/8/2010

I was looking for an overhaul in my attitude and overall approach to my daily responsibilities. My coach was no-nonsense, goal-oriented, and pragmatic. We set out very clear goals and objectives for my coaching at the beginning of the process and she held me to them diligently. I appreciated that and needed that structure to accomplish what I was hoping to. I recommend working with Institute for Coaching for clients who are looking to put their nose to the ground and get efficient, focused coaching. Tough-skin is recommended, too. more

Career coaching focused on interview and networking skills 9/24/2010

I worked with IFC for career coaching - to help me reconstruct resume, refine interview skills, communication skills, strengthen networking ability. I found that it was a very focused, fast-moving process with my coach - he was structured and to the point in assignments. The greatest take away has been that, in improving those skills to prepare for a new job search, I've also improved these skills in my general interaction with people and disposition... the coaching resulted in overall increased confidence and communication in new situations. more
