At first, our hearts sank when you told us that he would have to stay with you for several days in order to receive his training. We were concerned about his interaction with the other bigger dogs, with his ability to “listen to us” if you were doing the training, and with how much we would miss him. None of our fears were realized. Brutus is able to follow our “sit/stay/heel” commands and we are no longer concerned about him trying to run away every time an exterior door is opened. The minimal amount of heartache that we experienced during Brutus’ absence from our home has been more than outweighed by his dramatically improved behavior. As a senior citizen, I don’t get around as well as I used to and I was not able to keep up with Brutus. Without your help, I wouldn’t have been able to keep him. While he’s not quite perfect yet, his continued training has become a “family affair.” Becky, my daughter-in-law, comes over on a daily basis. Together, we reinforce the training that you have given Brutus.
