We have eaten twice at Indika. The first time, we showed up on a Saturday with no reservations. Anita was so accomodating - I will forever be grateful. The food was great. I lived in NYC for several years, and the quality of this food reminds me of some of the great NYC Indian restaurants, like Dawat. It is very innovative. The service is a little spotty - I tend to overlook that as due to the newness of the place. I expect that it will improve over time. The eggplant and the duck are our favorite dishes, but there is a lamb combo that our friends shared that looked delicious. We started with some extraordinary crabmeat samosas. I don't usually go to far outside the Loop - but this is definitely worth the drive!
Pros: Great Food, Owner is so NICE
Cons: Spotty Service
