It's been awhile since I have eaten out of my comfort box. For some odd reason I decided to have Indian food. I've only had this type of cuisine maybe 3 times in my life. Each time I thought the food tasted great, but I really never have a craving for it. Well today I did:) \r
Walking up my first impression was that the restaurant looked tired. The building could use some paint and the parking lot could be cleaned up a bit. The restaurant was mostly empty, but I didn't have lunch until 215p. I noticed that they had a pretty big lunch buffet going on. They had about 14 different items; salad, soups, rice, 2 styles of chicken, ground lamb, marsala cabbage, spinach, some odd looking desserts, and the fantastic tasting naan. When the server said the price of the buffet was $8.95 I was sold. \r
I sampled everything except the desserts and the lamb dish (see pic). The soups and Chicken in a red curry sauce ( forgot the actual name) were pretty damn solid. I was lucky enough to be standing in line when they brought out a whole new pan of naan. Hey that rhymes...lol The bread was nice and hot with a smokey favor that made it taste awesome. \r
Service was very efficient. The decor needed alittle sprucing up and for some reason I noticed that the carpet needed a good cleaning. Beyond that the food was pretty damn good and the price was amazing. \r
I recommend that everyone go out of their comfort zone more often because it feels and tastes F'ing good. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
