Friendly staff quick to get the coffee flowing. Tasty, imaginative meal (e.g., vegetable hash, and I ordered a generous side of chorizo). The coffee cake was very, very good. T...

I have been to Ina's for breakfast and lunch. I have never had any issues with the service or the food. I do take issue with the single dollar sign denoting a price point for th...

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS! INA FEELS IT'S OKAY TO SAY WHAT SHE WANTS BECAUSE IT'S HER RESTAURANT. I was at Ina's Easter Sunday with my 3 year-old. There was a 20 minute wait, so we gave our name and went outside to walk around. After 15 minutes, we checked on our name, and my son spied 3 big cakes on the counter in the waiting area. He pointed to the carrot cake and said, "I want that." Ina was standing behind the counter watching as I tried to talk him out of the cake, but she did not make eye contact or offer us the plate of tiny coffee cake samples that was on her side of the counter. He was not going to be dissuaded. He’s Autistic and gets fixated and there is no way to unstick him without a violent tantrum. I was indulging him by BUYING a piece of carrot cake. I didn’t want the screaming. I was exhausted and was going to BUY the carrot cake for the sake of my own sanity. Ina had been giving my son the evil eye this whole time. I asked her if I could have a piece of carrot cake "To Go". She said, "He doesn't want that one. He won't like it. He should have this one," finally offering the plate of coffee cake samples. I said, "No thanks. He wants carrot cake." Ina looked me right in the eye and said with a snarl, "I see who the boss is in YOUR family." Read: You are a horrible parent and your kid is a brat. I politely told her that he is Autistic and didn't understand. She never apologized. We paid $5.00 for the piece of cake and left. more

My friend works at Ina's and she's right: the self professed "Queen of Breakfast" is just that- delicious, above par and unforgettable. Unfortunately, the prices, decor, location and ambience are a little forgettable. The prices are high and the crowd is aptly bougeois and the location is nice, but bland-ish and hard to find. Still, if you want to try a good breakfast, go do it- but if you have other, more pertient plans, I'd say skip it, and save it for when you're feeling...more yuppified. more
