I just want to warn anyone who is going to park valet, two of my bags were stolen today. I filed a report talked to everyone, from managers to police. They have video of the bag in the car as proof, and the only people with access to the keys are the valet. As I started to tell people I realized this is extremely common here and there's nothing anyone can to the thiefs about it! One person's 4 car wheels were stolen once! And there is no video inside the garage. more

Great service. Nice ambiance. GROSSLY overpriced!!!!! The quality of the food definitely does NOT warrant those prices. Over rated and not worth it. I've have much better Italian at many other places at a quater of the price. I won't be returning to this place. more

When a guy named Fernando is the owner - you know it's NOT italian! TOP Shelf priced, BOTTOM Shelf quality!! Nice stting and that's it. Go anywhere else and it will be an improvement. AND NO, I am not pay $11 for a glass of Bella Sera Chianti when a bottle costs $ 6.50 at Publix!!! more

Great view and athmosphere. Well frequented. Good food and great deserts and service. A signature special is the Tortellini, but the sauce felt a bit too thick and heavy to be. The complimentary limoncello with desert was very good and a nice touch.\r \r Sadly it's over priced. I spotted a Clos du Bois $14 bottle priced at $60. The rest of the wine list follows the same pricing system. We also ordered "to-go" a spaghetti with Tomato, Basil and Mozarella. A simple dish: $45. \r \r The quality does not justify the price. more

I am always eating out with my husband.\r I can't believe Il Gabbiano's calls itself and authentic Italian restaurant. The waiters try to all act Italian when they are not. When they realized we where Italian they would not know what to say. Then one waiter started calling me Bella. Excuse me? Where is there respect?\r The view is unique and spectacular. The ambience is great as everybody is there to be "seen". \r Real Italian food is done with fresh ingredients and not overpowering the flavors.\r The first time I went, I ate terribly. I had ordered the pasta and it had 20 garlic cloves and the sauce was tasteless and watery. However, I decided to give it a second chance. \r We ordered the Octopus Carpaccio and the Crabmeat and Avocado Cocktail. Fist of all I LOVE octopus carpaccio, I eat it all of the time.\r This Carpaccio was nasty and tasted fishy. They also sprinkled bells peppers on the carpaccio to hide the fishiness. The crabmeat cocktail has a piece of canned crab with a watered down version of the salsa rosada.\r Then we ordered the Scampi alla Francese. My husband and I always order scampi in Italy, so we know when they are fresh.\r These scampi had little black markings from when they have been frozen and are not are their best.\r I ate anyways as I was hungry.\r After we payed the meal I asked the hostess for a comment card. She told me that they did not have a comment card. I told her about how bad the food had been and she said "well I think it is weird as no one has ever complained". Instead of apologizing or something else she was contradicting me. \r Later on I got sick to my stomach. I am still trying to shake off the disgust of having eaten there...\r I am pissed off at myself for having gone back.\r Why did I have to be so stupid and go back? more

If this is authentic Italian food my name is superman... I had the spaghetti arrabiata and it was gross!! The pasta had at least 29 garlic cloves!! Real italian cuisine is by far better. If youthink this is the best Italian food you have had, then it's time to go to Italy. more

The service at this restaurant is appalling! I spoke with 3 managers- Roberto, Maggie, and EVEN the owner, Fernando. They have no concern for their customers and only care about the money. I will NEVER go to this restaurant. In this economy, they should learn to treat customers much better if they want to stick around. more
