Ihloff Salon & Day Spa

Neeley came up to the front with me. We were scheduling an appointment for my husband. As Neeley left I haned her a tip. The girl went ahead and checked me out. The total was $76.00. I had no tens on me so I handed her $86.00. She took the money and said thank-you. I questioned her and said it was $76.00 and I gave you $86.00. she said I thought you wanted that to go to Neeley. I said no I have already given Neeley her tip. She gave me the $10.00 but acted like the whole miscommunication was my fault and she did not give anytype of receipt. It was an awkard situation and should have never happened in the first place. Very unprofessional on the person who checked me out. She could have asked if any thing was going to Neeley instead of assuming. I have never had this experience in the past year or two with anyone else. It was an akward experience, one that I hope never to experience again. more

The base pedicure here costs $55. There isn't a lower level of service offered, so I'm not going to take my bridesmaids here. more

I have been going to Ihloff Utica Square for as long as I can remember (many years before moving to Utica Square). Kim has always been my stylist and she has always done an incredible job at making me look my best. After many years of great service the exceptional becomes the norm and can easily be taken for granted. Last week I got a wake up call. About 11:30 I received a concerned call because I had not yet arrived for my 11:15 appointment. After my apology for forgetting (I had received an email reminding of the appointment the previous day) I was informed that I could reschedule for 1:30 the same day which I eagerly agreed to. A few friends dropped by and the next thing I knew it was 4:00. Now I am sure I have committed the unforgivable. But, no, I texted Kim with another apology and scheduled an appointment for a few days later. I arrived on time for this appointment, had a wonderful visit and left feeling happy and looking good. I was take care of and treated like a friend; friends take care of their friends. Now it is my turn to look for ways to return the kindness. Friends are hard to come by, I be more careful to not take them for granted. more

don't price yourselves out of the ability of customers to pay; wonderful service, but if I could find someone who cuts/styles hair as well for less $, I would take my business elsewhere. more
