Be careful. Their ""CONTRACT"" states they can kick you out at any point for NO REASON whatsoever. It also states they can KEEP your balance in certain situations. Our friends had a balance of $30,000 when they kicked our friends out of ITEX and now they are about to get sued for breach of contract. They also have refused 8 times to provide them with the ""APPEAL"" paperwork. ITEX former CEO was ARRESTED for securities FRAUD. more

I've been an ITEX member since 4-30-10 and it's been great. I have used quite a few of the other vendors in the network and have never had a problem. I have only ever been treated with respect from the other owners. How does a restaurant charge double what their menu states? I have fixed pricing on my site for my services and charge the same prices cash or barter. It's typical and normal for some providers to only barter the labor part of their services. Think Blue Sky is going to build you a deck and barter 2 or 3 grand in lumber and materials? No but they will barter the 2 or 3 grand in labor to build that deck. Bottom line, barter isn't for everyone but I have had only positive experiences with ITEX and will continue to be a member for a long time to come. more

Ok let me start by explaining ITEX. It is a barter system network that tries to have a company for every field. You spend itex dollars or write an itex check. It all sounds so easy and ideal, but then you actually try to spend some itex money. First of all you must tell the company that you are in itex, If you get a call back consider yourself lucky. Then be prepared to pay double or close to it, all the while being treated like you are a piece of trash for having itex currency. I am completely fed up with this joke of a ""community"". There are a very small fraction of itex customers that will accept itex payment with no problems, maybe five percent. The rest have self made rules such as: no itex on products only labor, others dont take itex on Saturday, & finally the ones you can spend it with charge you double because its not real money. Owners please steer clear of this company if you want to save money and time. more
