We wanted to pass on a note of thanks to you and your team at Huntington Learning Center of Austin for all your hard work and dedication to Grant and his education. When we first came to you, Grant was a very shy and frustrated child with regards to school. He would hate all the assignments in school because he struggled and much as he tried, he would just be let down with his grades. There was even some talk about holding him back in 2nd grade so he could become more confident and sure of himself. That is where we stepped in. We got him some extra help at school but we decided that he needed more than that. This is where Huntington came in. Through your one-on-one tutoring sessions, Grant made a huge turn around. It has been a year and a half since Grant has been coming to Huntington and he is now a more confident child. He has lost all signs of being shy in public and his grades are showing it. His final report card for the 3rd grade shows him with one B and the rest all A?s. To see his face light up when we talk about his report card now is one of those moments that every parent dreams of. In addition to this, Grant took his first TAKS tests this year and he literally came out of the math and reading sections beaming with a great big smile. He passed with flying colors and the report indicated that his Quantile and Lexile scores place him at the mid-point of 4th grade in reading and math. As parents, it comforts us to know how much of a personal interest that you take in each and every one of your students at Huntington. From the individualized programs based on the child?s needs, to the special attention to teaching the same curriculum being taught in the school, to the frequent status update meetings, you kept us connected and informed every step of the way. We have always been proud of Grant with everything that he does because he tries so hard, but being able to provide him this gift of learning and confidence makes us doubly proud of him and his incredible achievements. He loves school now, loves reading, especially loves math and mentioned to us on more than one occasion that ?this year is my best year ever in school.? more

Thank you for the excellent tutoring services provided to our son for the past two and a half years at the Far West location. He was in a very demanding, fast-paced environment while simultaneously coping with a learning difference, and needed more intensive instruction than his school could provide. With the incredible one-on-one tutoring sessions and SAT Prep course, he dramatically improved his grades and received an academic scholarship to the college of his choice. The Individual Tutoring for the ACT at Huntington was absolutely perfect for my daughter! She has ADHD inattentive and is mildly dyslexic in English and Math and was really concerned about taking this college entrance test. Huntington made it easy. They asked for her commitment to increase her ACT score. They presented a timeline of what needed to take place to reach that goal and without a big fuss...it was accomplished! Her ACT increased from a preliminary test of 18 to an actual ACT test of 24. This tutoring has also helped improve her high school grades and GPA. I wish I would have sent my older daughter here! She may have been able to get bigger scholarships to her college choices if she would have done the individual tutoring with Huntington versus the group that is offered by competitors. more

The teachers were patient, nice, and helped ?fill in the gaps? in math and English so that I could achieve the scores I needed to get into the college of my choice. The summer before first grade we enrolled our son, Collin, at Huntington Learning Center on Far West Blvd. He needed help with reading, comprehension, and writing. Huntington was an answer to our prayers! Pros: superior staff, small calss size for more personalized attention more

I wanted to take a moment to let you know the significant progress that T. has made. Just to give you a brief overview: My daughter has severe ADHD. It was an ongoing struggle and fight not only to get homework completed and turned in but to barely obtain a passing grade no matter how hard we worked at it. Every three weeks was a disappointment for the inevitable progress report. I've had a math tutor for her since the second grade. She was enrolled in an elective math class at school for extra help from her teacher. She had NEVER passed the TAKS test in the Math section. My husband and I stressed about the TAKS test this year since she was required to pass it to go into the ninth grade. I found Huntington when you sponsored the Fall Festival at school. That day changed not only my daughter's life but my husband's and my life as well. My daughter has brought up her grades in all of her classes, but is now excelling in math. We received the good news that she passed the math TAKS test on the first try! She was informed by her math teacher this week that she has placed out of Algebra I when she enrolls in high school this fall. Today was her first day of her new school schedule without the required math ""help"" elective. She gets to take a real elective class instead--art! Her confidence level is increasing, and I can see she is so much happier. She gave me a big hug today and told me that she couldn't believe that she is now one of the smart kids in class. I can't believe this is the same child. If anyone is skeptical about the cost, the time or the benefit to the child all I have to say in return is, can you put a price tag on your child's peace of mind?
