Hughes Associates

Because of my job I needed to have temporary corporate housing and was placed at Cumberland Courts. The Townhouses was fully furnished and equipped with the necessities. Snow removal was prompt and the sidewalks salted (please note they do not use pet safe/friendly sidewalk salt). One of the biggest problems is PARKING even though it is stated maximum of two vehicles and assigned spots..............THAT IS A JOKE and parking rules are not enforced. So if you work an odd shift good luck at finding a place to park you may have to risk parking across the street at the long term care or at the laundry mat. Some updating is needed and sound proofing would be greatly appreciated. You can hear the water running next door, when they are walking around upstairs and the cabinets being slammed in the kitchen. If I have to come back this way for work and this is the place I am placed I will request an end of unit or decline to stay here unless improvements are made. I understand that man more

Hughes Associates have helped me relocate from UK to Bangor Maine. Very happy with their service and the support they have given me. All the apartments I was shown to choose from were clean, in great neighbourhoods and at very competitive prices. I feel very happy about my new home in Maine and having Hughes Associates as my landlord. more

I rent from Hughes Associates.They usually take care of problems right away,but for some reason are not addressing the problem of upstairs neighbors doing drugs,The fumes come through the heating vents.I have called police and they won't do anything either.My service animals health is at risk. more

I advise everybody to stay away from Hughes Associates.The apartment that I rented was very dirty.The company has it's own scams in order to claim a lot of money from the security deposit, and in the end they are extremely rude to the customer. more

As a current tenant of theirs at the Deerfield Apartments, I am very happy with their work. I have never had a problem with them addressing either my maintenance issues or issues with other tenants, not that there have been may of those over the years. They are very prompt and the entire staff is very helpful and polite. All my neighbors are hard working adults, so I am not sure about the section 8 comment. Hughes has great standards for its tenants. more

I have rented from Hughes Associates before and would rent from them again in the future if the need arises. The apartments are well-maintained and CLEAN (sometimes hard to find in the area!) more

!!!DON'T LEASE FROM HUGHES ASSOCIATES!!! My girlfriend and I live at Deerfield Apartments in Bangor, ME and since Hughes Associates purchased the property earlier this year the standard of living has dropped off the charts. It seems as though they cater to section 8 tenants. Lately we have to call in noise complaints on a weekly basis, sometimes multiple times in one day...but nothing is ever addressed by Hughes Associates. We have no alternative but to give our notice and find another place to live....someplace not affiliated with Hughes Associates! more
