Not only is Dairy Joy way overpriced but their management needs to learn the First Amendment right of free speech. I dared to complain on DJ's Facebook page that their claims of lower prices and a new dining room were false and they not only deleted my post (along with many others echoing my comments) but also removed me as a fan of their page! Way to run and market your service-oriented business, guys!!! But it's OK, because I'm not a fan of a small-town business that charges $6 for an ""extra thick"" frappe, which is thin and runny, or $4-5 for an ice cream cone. A summer afternoon treat for the average family will easily run $20-30 - who has that kind of money in this economy? I've been enjoying ice cream and clams at the location since it was Murphy's (before PC Creams) so it's really a shame that the current management doesn't know how to cater to the local market like its previous owners did.
P.S. Dairy Joy might want to have someone with higher than a 3rd grade education, who can spell and has a knowledge of grammar, handling their marketing copy and social media outreach.
