Great Nurses 8/10/2005

The staff here are exceptional. They will do anything and everything that they can to help you. They will make sure that your loved ones aren't in pain in there final days here on earth. They went out of their way for a friend of mine who was in there and at Christmas time he was talking about how he knew he wouldn't get to see another christmas so that staff here put up a tree in his room and decorated it for him. You can't ask for anything better than for someone to go out of your way for someone who is sick. The rooms are nice and very nicely decorated. Highly recommended!! more

  • **Hospice of East Texas Philosophy**
As Hospice of East Texas, we care for people in all stages of their life. We believe in the dignity of each person and the value of each human life. Hospice exists not to postpone death but to help the patient and family to live as fully as possible. Death is not denied but accepted, and life is affirmed and lived more fully as a result.

We believe that every person is entitled to participate fully in every part of life in order to prepare for death in a way that is personally satisfactory. Therefore, it is crucial particularly in the last few months of life to develop a caring community that can provide services to patients and their families.. The majority of Hospice of East Texas? patients are served in their homes, whether that be their own home,a nursing home,or an assisted living facility.
