I'm sorry to say that my family and friends will no longer be shopping at Homeland. I had an experience today with one of the management staff at the N. Bryant store in Edmond that has left me with very ill feelings towards the stores. On two separate occasions while using the self checkout registers my debit card was declined, on both occasions I proceeded to complete my transaction in cash, to later see on my bank statement that my card had also been charged. The amounts were minimal ($8 & $12), so I saw no need in making an issue of it. Today my debit card was once again declined, so I called over a member of the management to point out the issue, she remarked that she had the same issue with her card and then showed me how to avoid the problem in the future. I explained to her the problem I had on the previous occasions, and she told me that it wasn't possible for that to happen. I again told her it had happened to me on two different occasions. I explained to her that I wasn't seeking a refund, I was merely pointing out a possible flaw in the system, and instead of just acknowledging my concern and taking any interest in resolving the situation, she thought it was best to publicly debate me on the matter. As if I was too ignorant to remember the factual experiences of my life, or was Lying for no reason. It goes without saying that this no way to treat a customer. A sentence as simple as ""That shouldn't happen, and please bring it to my attention if it does again"" would have quickly settled the matter, but I got a 10 minute debate on how the systems works, and what can and cannot happen, and my intelligence belittled in front of the BANK OF OKLAHOMA staff, where I bank. My day was ruined by that employee's lack of tact, they have lost the regular business that my family has made to the stores, and I am recommending that others take their business elsewhere.
