Hollywood Boulevard Theater just won best movie theater in Chicago! Check out what else won for best of Chi-Town with 1035 Kiss Fm!!

This is a really nifty concept, combining a movie theater with restaurant service. The ticket prices are comparable, if not a little cheaper, with most theaters in the area. Th...

A Totally Different Movie Experience 10/22/2005

This is your chance to add a little something extra to your movie experience. Here's the deal. There's they typical movie admission, PLUS each person has to order 2 items from the menu. What? Well, it's totally worth it. You sit at little diner-type tables. Everyone faces forward. There's more than enough leg room, and the waitresses bring your food to you. It's like the next level of the movie going experience. What are you worried about? You usually buy popcorn, soda, and candy anyway. Just add another item. It doesn't cost more than the typical popcorn, etc. more

An Unique Experience... 9/10/2005

I love Hollywood Boulevard. Located in a cozy corner of a small strip mall, Hollywood Boulevard provides a small chunk of Hollywood in Chicago Suburbia. The standard audience is made up of adults, since the admittance age is 18 years old for most movies, and it's a great time for all. The lobby is decked out in all kinds of Hollywood memorabilia, with printed hand prints form the Chinese Theater, to retro movie posters adorning the ceilings. Each screen has a different theme, my favorite being the Oscar Room and the Chinese Theater. The food is acceptable, nothing out of the ordinary, but the is extremely helpful. For those who enjoy the occasional drink, watch out! The alcoholic beverages tend to run high. If you're looking for an unique date, take them here, it's definitely a treat! more

Good place to eat and watch a movie 8/25/2005

Hollywood Blvd is a good place to see a movie if you have a free coupon (which is really easy to get, get on their mailing list and they'll be sending you one quite frequently). You just have to buy one item to eat while seeing the movie. The food is delicious, my favorite is the warm spinach dip with garlic bread cubes. There is a bar there if you'ld like to drink also. Another highlight is that they quite often have celebrities there for the openings. Like Daisy Duke when Dukes of Hazards opened. more

This place is so much fun! 8/24/2005

When we went to Hollywood Blvd. I felt like we were in an area at Disney World. The decorations when you walk in are very cool- with movie garb everywhere. When you enter the theater you don't find the traditional theater seats- they are leather swivel chairs that are quite comfortable. They also serve a full menu for lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. The food was pretty good too. Fun place to bring the family for a night out! more

dinner and a movie 8/10/2005

Hollywood Blvd. is a fun way to have an evening out with dinner and a movie. They have a nice variety of food. You are required to purchase one food or drink item per person. They have dinner items which includes a vegetarian meal, or you can get popcorn or an appetizer. On different days, they offer specials such as discounted buckets of beer or pitchers of margaritas. Very nice theater and I go there often. You can also join their birthday club. On your birthday, you receive an email for free movie tickets. Free movies are the best. more

Great for busy parents 7/18/2005

Hollywood Blvd. is a movie theatre in Woodridge, IL, which also serves dinner and drinks. The food is ok (not great, but not terrible, either). The menu isn't huge, and it consists primarily of sandwiches and such (and, of course, the obligatory movie popcorn). The service staff has always been great when we've been there. They're pleasant and fairly quick, and most importantly, inconspicuous during the movie. The seating is comfortable; it consists of tables and office-style high-back chairs. The biggest drawback to the theatre is the lobby; usually a smoke-filled, crowded room with only a few seats. People usually don't know where they're supposed to go, and/or if they've started seating for their movie yet, so often it's difficult to get around the room. And for non -smokers, the wait in the smokey lobby can be extra-long. By far, the biggest perk to this theatre, for me, is the fact that my husband and I can get dinner AND a movie without leaving our baby with a babysitter for more than a couple of hours. Talk about multi-tasking! If a couple can manage to get a sitter for just a couple of hours, they can have a nice evening out! more
