I love going to Hires Big H to grab a burger and a shake. I'm telling you, EVERYTHING on the menu is absolutely delicious. I usually go in and get a table, however, you can sit in your car and have a car-hop bring your order to you OR you can go in and place your order to go. The wait staff is very friendly and will recommend things to try if you can't make your mind up. Prices are higher than your average fast food burger joint, but the food is also better, so it makes up for it! more

WONDERFUL food and root beer 8/19/2005

This is one of our favorite hamburger places. We've tried other locations of Hires Big H but have been disappointed - this location (downtown) beats them hands-down. I love the sesame seeds on the buns. The root beer is wonderful - they make it themselves and it's a refreshing treat on a hot afternoon. They even have car-hops here so you don't have to get out to order! more
