I walked in to Auburn Hinshaws Honda dealership and a gentleman greeted me, his name is Bob Arnold. I told him i needed a oil change and shared with him that i may also need a new air filter. Bob suggested to do a package deal included what i need and additional services that i may need to have service soon. I hate having to write this review but I feel everyone should know how this company really works!! I have a great experience buying my car but after only 3 months I had issues with my car. I took it in and got nothing but the run around. JOHN from the service desk is horrible. He doesn't listen and flat out lied about having several people drive my car. Came in to pick it up and he acted like he never called me then when I drove it and the sound was still there he acted like I was being a crazy lady. I had a mechanic drive with me and within 2 mins he told me to turn around and that he could hear it just fine sooooooo I guess no one did actually drive my car. I got the run around for hours before he stated that they don't even work on the Nissan I bought from them and that it needed to go 2 blocks to the shop that would actually be working on it. He then had my car towed without letting me know that (A) he was doing so and (B) there was going to be a fee. I come to find out that the issue with my car was no oil!!!!! So Hinshaw Honda apparently did not do an oil service change like they said they did when I bought my car. I was then told by the other auto shop that I would be getting charged $84 for the tow!!!! The guy at the shop even said he didn't understand why they towed it since the car was running and it was only 2 blocks away. I said I was not going to pay for the tow and would need to talk to the Manager at Hinshaw's Honda, WELL ONCE AGAIN that was truly a mistake, Tim the GM at Hinshaw's did not take any responsibility for his staff lying to me and the horrible customer service I received and kept speaking over me when I was just trying to give him the information and ask why I wasn't notified of a tow fee and also why there was no oil in car?!?!?!!?? I basically was told it was my fault and that I should be grateful they towed my car because I ran it dry with no oil (not true mind you per other auto shop). He was very kurt with me and basically threw his hands up and said this was all my problem. I said wow is this really how you guys handle your customers here?!?!? He said well what do you want me to do, I asked for him to be responsible for the tow fee he said no. I again expressed to him that I was not made aware of a fee and should have been before they decided to tow. He said fine what do you want from me again I said it would be nice for you to pay for the tow but since you aren't what can you do? He then said fine I will pay for half of the tow. I said ok if that's all your willing to do. He hung up!! Please take this review to heart, I work in customer service and no customer especially one who just bought a product from you 3 months prior should ever be treated the way I was. This place is all just for show when it comes to buying but heaven forbid something goes wrong because even with a full extended warranty they will try and pass the buck to their customers for a job poorly done by their staff and mechanics. Do not trust anything John says he is a liar. As for the GM Tim he needs to take a long hard look about how he is running HIS shop as he called it. Apparently there is no one higher in business than him either No VP and No RGM according to him, he is the almighty of this dealer ship. WATCH OUT FOR THIS PLACE THEY ARE SCANDALOUS!!! At least when it comes to non-Honda vehicle they sell!!!! I am VERY DISAPPOINTED and regret buying my car through Hinshaw's Honda. more

Buy a car here. You won't regret it. Ask for Becki and she'll actually do this thing called LISTENING. To you. She found us the best car and then we came back two weeks later to buy another one for my husband! Becki in sales, Dan in finance, and the rest of the team really make me look forward to when I get the opportunity to buy my next vehicle. I bought my Odyssey a few summers ago and had a great sales experience. I come regularly for oil changes and the service is delightful. The gentlemen at the desk are friendly and always inform me when my car needs additional service. Many times i say no but they accept that and provide me a list of recommended services my vehicle may need. The oil change comes with a car wash done by hand and a vacuum. In addition to this, I typically receive emails with coupons!! I have a new driver in the house and will definitely be looking at Honda products in Auburn. Thanks for the years of terrific, friendly service. more

When I was having issues with my previous vehicle, I went to Hinshaw's and worked with Becki who helped my wife and I a week before find a car for my mother-in-law. The experience was painless and Becki was extremely helpful and knowledgeable (even though she did not know what the ""W"" button was for on the Volvo). This time around she gave me an amazing deal on a Pontiac. The car did have some minor issues but Becki and Monty made sure to take care of those issues for me without any hassle. Hinshaw's Honda is an excellent dealership. I have purchased both my cars from them and take them both for servicing on a regular basis. I am very pleased with the service and always feel that my cars are kept in great shape. Service writer Bob is outstanding and always follows through on things. I always use Rick, the mechanic, who keeps my cars in tip top shape. I thoroughly recommend this dealership. more

When my Honda needs some attention I call Bob Arnold and he always remembers me and helps me with what is the best for my car. All the gentlemen are always very warm with greeting you at the door. They have a very clean and comfortable waiting area if you need to wait. Bob offers me a car if I have to go up the hill for work. Of course the mechanics do a wonderful job with the car, when I get it back, it's running smoothly - and clean, inside and out! Love taking my car into Hinshaw's Honda to be serviced! The gentlemen are always ready to open the door for me, Bob Arnold listened and discussed what my issues were, explained clearly what needed to be done, what my options were and how much it would cost - ALL BEFORE starting to work on my car! They have a very clean and comfortable waiting area with coffee, snacks and a TV to help pass the time, if you choose to stay to wait. I do a lot of research online when I'm buying items but find that Hinshaw's Honda absent from that technology. It might be time to start thinking about coming into the 21st Century.\r \r Other then that you have a great service department which I have enjoyed for many years.\r \r My recent experience was today Jul 11, 2013 when my Honda's (2008) battery went dead about 2 miles from the dealership. I walked to Hinshaw's and was kindly greeted by your service advisor Bud Arnold who in a very short time after I told him my problem, loaded me into his vehicle along with a battery charger and took me to my car. From there it was back to the shop for a new battery, lube oil and filter and a wash of my car.\r \r This type of service keeps me coming back. Well done! more
