""The Texan"" This is in no way a romantic getaway. There is a large rental home 30 yards to the left and another cabin rental to the right. The walking path by the home is filled with junk thrown out from someone?s house. The ""weather pond"" is just an eyesore. So what would normally be a good size property has one large home and two rentals a small 1 car driving path and an empty pond. This company did NOT offer up information on the homes next to this cabin and certainly does not state it or show it online until I asked about it. I asked her if there were other cabins nearby and she simply stated yes 24 - 30 yards away. Not telling us that there is a rental home and not a nice one next door occupied the whole time we were there with a burning fire (during a burn ban) the whole time we were there as well as 4 wheelers running on Sunday morning. When we got the rental contract it stated check out time is 11pm. I understand for a normal hotel it would be 11 am which is why I asked the lady about it when we received the keys. She confirmed this time and so we made our Sunday plans around this. We received a call at 11:30am on Sunday saying we need to check out now and ""sorry, it was a typo"". She was rude and quite arrogant in making it seem that we were stupid for even thinking it would be 11pm and it did not matter that I asked as she just misunderstood me. Although "" I want to confirm our checkout time is 11 PM"" seems a little hard to mis understand. When I emailed the agent I spoke with, her reply was filled with lies. She emailed me back the documents stating look at what we sent you and of course she had changed the time on the contract. For some reason she thought that the original email with the wrong time would magically disappear? We requested a $50.00 refund for the time lost which of course they responded with NO and we are going to go ahead and charge you another bogus fee. Please do not do business with these people. The area where the rental is at is very poor and it is not anything like what the website states. The cabin inside is nice and well kept and you do have privacy in the hot tub provided by a shower curtain from the big 2 story rental home next door but none on the other side from the other cabin. We would not have asked for a refund if we had not confirmed the times with this company before we even picked up the keys. If she had said no I'm sorry that's the wrong time we would have said ok and planned accordingly. Instead they were just rude and nothing was their fault at all. Add the fact that her response was riddled with lie after lie which I am willing to share with anyone who is thinking about renting from this company more
