How does a hotel get designated as AAA approved? We just came back from an overnight stay at the Heritage Inn, 721 Beach Avenue, Cape May, NJ that was absolutely horrendous. The stench in the rooms was palpable. They were in the midst of noisy renovations that allowed us to get very little sleep, too. The woman at the check-out was outrageously rude. The entire experience was terrible. However, the ""AAA"" approved sign was prominently displayed on the hotel. How is this possible? What is their quality control? It reflects very badly on AAA. I'd never stay here again in any circumstances.
