Excellent Service 6/1/2010

I just purchased my first fur from Henry Cowit Inc., and I couldn't be happier! The coat that I bought is a pre-owned mink, but to look at (and FEEL) it, you'd think it was brand-new. I was lucky enough to make the purchase during Cowit's annual inventory clearance sale, so I wound up saving almost $7,000! The selection available is amazing, and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful. I can't wait to go back! Pros: customer service, prices, selection more

Strongly disagree with the comments below. The stuff was very helpful and they even mentioned that people get frustrated or upset finding out that their older furs are worth very little...so maybe that caused the reviews to be so harsh? They were very nice to me and honest. Pros: Good Customer Service more

Treated Like Crap 12/15/2009

Obviously I'm not anti-fur, but I hope some PETA protester dumps a bucket of paint on the guy at Cowit whom I spoke with, who also felt the need to tell me that Cowit was ""the largest used fur retailer in the U.S."" as if that was an excuse for his a-hole behavior. Cons: Very Poor Customer Service more

Never dealt with someone so rude. 1/10/2009

Inquired about selling a fur coat that belonged to my mother. Was basically turned away, which wasn't the issue, the issue was that I had never seen worse treatment of a potential customer in my life. Definitely will be going to Ritz furs, where they were very nice. more
