I recently purchased a new Hyundai at Heller. They were willing to negotiate price (in the end i got my car for a few thousand under the MSRP by getting some rebates).\r \r However, a few days after i got my car (after everything was signed, down payment was cashed, loan check was delivered), they called me and left a message telling me one of the rebates "was only valid if I finance through Hyundai", EVEN THOUGH i had already signed the contract and they knew when i signed that i was not financing through them.\r \r Long story short, i ended up getting all my rebates, but I was very annoyed to have them try to pull this kind of bait and switch. I do not recommend this dealership. more

I buy a new car about every 2 years. Every car I owned in the past 15 years has come from Heller. They are GREAT! I have always been given a great price and thier service department is second to none. I take my motorhome to them which was not purchased there, since they don't sell them, and have never had a problem with them. Ford makes a very high quality vehicle and Heller shows the quality in thier sales and service. more

Just got my brakes done all the way around. The price was reseasonable and the time to install was quick. Service Advisor Mark Sult gave me great Customer Service...which is hard to come be these days. Totally would recommend getting your vehicle serviced at Heller! more

Avoid Heller Autogroup (Ford – Hyundai) in Escondido, CA. This dealership is unscrupulous and unethical. My barely 18 year old niece went in by herself – I know that was a mistake, but she is headstrong. She came into some money and wanted a car, she didn’t have a job, a credit rating, both her mother and her grandmother refused to co-sign, and she only has a drivers permit, not a full license. She got caught up in the excitement of a brand new car and they were ruthless – the sharks gobbled up the minnow. They sold her a car that was way more expensive than she could afford, a 2007, which means the insurance costs are sky-high, there was no negotiation on the price, which means she agreed to pay full sticker price; then they sold her all the extras, including an extended warranty on a Hyundai, the car that advertises itself as: “Hyundai Advantage – America’s Best Warranty.” She put down every cent she had and they financed the car for 70 months at 17.5%. This is the dealership that all other dealerships aspire to be. I have never had any issues, and don't get that feeling that I am being hunted by "killer cockroaches" that I get from other dealerships I've been to. I will admit that I am a Ford junkie - in that I will only consider something that has been produced by a Ford owned company. Even still, I find that I am more at ease with going here for my regular services, getting questions answered, and going for a test drive. If feels like they operate on the premise that you have come to the dealership for a reason, either you are going to buy or your not, why should they have to pressure you into doing something that you don't want to do. That is why they are one of San Diego's few 5 star, "blue oval" dealerships. PROS: Wide Selection, Great Cars & Trucks, Polite Salepeople CONS: more
