I tried to drop in during business hours one Thursday, but they were closed (inexplicably). I tried again on the following Saturday and was treated as a nuisance and an idiot.\r
The door was wide open and the neon ""open"" sign was on. I walked in, the girl in the back said, ""Can I help you?"" I looked around and saw the cases were nearly empty, so I said, ""It looks like you're about sold out."" I was going to ask for a price list when she said, ""Because we're CLOSED,"" like I had fought my way through a locked door and swept aside a ""closed"" sign to come in and bother her.\r
""The door is wide open and your open sign is on. If you're closed and you want to keep people out, maybe you should remedy that."" I turned to leave and as I got to the door, the guy that was in the store said, ""What's your problem, b***h?""\r
Even if I had yelled or come in with a bad attitude, there is no call for talking to a customer like that. I came in during business hours, through an open door, past a big, neon ""open"" sign with an eye to checking them out and maybe becoming a customer and they were rude from the git-go.\r
No shop has a product so good or so unique that they can treat me that way and have me come back. I'll go elsewhere when I need a cake.
Pros: no idea -- they wouldn't let me be a customer
Cons: horrible service, profanity, completely rude
