I found this shop by going with a friend who travels quite a distance to maintain her relationship with the owner and his family/staff. They entire staff was very friendly and helpful, I was impressed when they did not try to "sell" my friend the top-of-the-line sewing machine but rather showed her machines that were well within her budget. When I decided to open a small commercial embroidery business, Hayes was one of the places that I looked for machines. I ended up buying my machine from them because I felt that the service after the sale would be what I needed for this very daunting-looking machine. And I was right. If you are looking for a sewing machine make the trip to Hayes. Amazing selection of new and used sewing machines in every price range. Hayes staff is knowledgable and friendly . As a beginner to sewing-I was completely unsure what to purchase. The salesperson recommended a few machines within my budget. The machine I ended up purchasing was perfect and the price was competitve. Hayes offers sewing classes and free instruction on newly purchased sewing machines. Hayes has a 1 year trade-up program so if you want to purchase a more advanced model they give you credit for your old one. They also purchase used machines which is nice if you want to upgrade an old one. more

I began my relationship with the Hayes family several years ago when I decided to purchase my 1st sewing machine, the Elna Heirloom model. Hayes Sewing is the area distributor for Elna, Bernina and Babylock - the shop is staffed by Mr. and Mrs. Hayes and their daughters, all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their trade.
