Hauer Music Co

DO NOT GO THERE! took two guitars there for repair work.Just minor stuff,fret work and set up,etc..Didn't have time to really look at them when I picked them up but I thought they were a good place so I trusted them.When I got a good look at them I was pissed.They carved on the nuts of both guitars and sanded on the fretboard and later found out they glued the threads on the bridge and tail piece.Long story short I was lucky to find a guy somewhere else that knew what he was doing and cared about his work(playitagain on watervaliet)He saved both guitars,When I called to complain at hauer they laughed at me and said I have to bring the guitars back in before they would do anything about it,like I would trust them again..do yourself a favor,don't go there.... more

Hauer music has a large selection is nice for all levels. The staff is very friendly and pretty helpful although they definitely will try to upsell. Most are semi-professional/professional musicians and have a ton of product knowledge. Some of their prices are high, but their service is great. They have a great selection of band instruments, pianos and strings. Always a nice place to visit even if you don't buy. Oh, and be careful, their parking lot is really small and can be a pain! more

I like this store because they have a very good selection of instruments in stock, and their staff really seems to know what they're talking about. They offer band and orchestra instruments, as well as guitars, basses, drums, etc. They also offer lessons, which is nice for someone who wants to learn to play. Their prices are fair, if not good. Recommended. more

Hauer Music Company is a great store if you are looking to buy a new musical instrument. They have a great selection of high end guitars and other instruments. Their store is very nice and set up in a very buyer friendly way. Their staff is nice and very helpful if you have questions on ordering an item or questions about something they have in stock. Parking can be an issue considering it is downtown Dayton, but it shouldn't deter you away from checking out Hauer Music Company. more
