It's too bad Harvey's has gotten all these bad reviews. Maybe people just don't know what to expect from a comedy club, I don't know. I will admit, this isn't the most comfortable comedy club I've even been to, the place was packed and quite noisy, and as I remember, there were long tables where everyone sat together, so it's not really a date place for older people, but it wasn't shocking or anything when I was there, I have seen a lot worse.
Food is always expensive in these places, so that's no surprise, you are essentially a captive audience and that's the way it goes. The weak drinks you can blame on Hecklers of the Past, I'm afraid.
To the poor lady who had to sit through a hypnotist's act: I am truly sorry, those who regularly go to comedy clubs would never go to see hypnotics, jugglers, or talking puppets, they go to hear comedy from real comedians, because they like to laugh. But, hey, now you know and I hope you give comedy clubs another chance, if not at Harvey's, then at another club sometime.
