best bbw in atlanta- no thrills just done right everytime Pros: Love it

Harold's is OK but drive a couple of miles further through Jonesboro (down Main Street) to Dean's. It's a hole-in-the-wall that's been there forever. Don't expect a great sit-down...

You've got to try this place 12/29/2005

I can't tell you how aprehensive I was when we pulled up in the parking lot of this establishment that has a prison right down the street from it. But you must try it at least once and you'll probably be back. This place has some of the best down South B-B-Q I think you'll ever have and they serve it with a flair I'm sure you won't see often. Definitely a whole in the wall, but worth checking out. more

A taste of southern BBQ 8/6/2005

Located next to the state penetentiary (quite an odd location if you ask me), sits harold's Barbecue, a city favorite for the past 50 years. Harold's serves all different styles of BBQ; Kansas City pulled pork, North Carolina pork ribs, Texas brisket, Alabama shredded pork, the list goes on...What really makes Harold's is their signature BBQ secret sauce that adds a sweet, spicy tang to your meat. My personal favorite is the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich, as the meat is so tender that it melts in your mouth. A sandwich, fries, and a drink costs well under $10 and is a great bargain as it's extremely difficult to find traditional style Barbecue in Atlanta these days. I'd highly recommend Harold's to anyone who is seeking some great barbecue in the Atlanta area more
