High Praises for Dr Raymond 3/24/2013

I first met Dr. Raymond while I was fostering a dog through rescue organization named “Dogs Deserve Better”. I had NO CHOICE but to go to Dr. Raymond for my foster dog’s medical health, because the rescue organization was linked to Hampton Animal Hospital. Eventually I adopted by foster dog Scooby. My first intention was to take my newly adopted dog to my prior veterinary who took previous care of prior deceased dog which I had for 13 years. My prior veterinary took wonderful care for him during his 13 years. HOWEVER, I saw how Dr. Raymond performed with my foster dog Scooby for a year and I was very IMPRESSED. My Scooby, can be a very intimidating dominating canine, but Dr. Raymond did not shy away and was WONDERFUL with Scooby. Therefore, I NOW fell very COMFORTABLE with Dr. Raymond taking care of newly adopted dog Scooby for his entire canine life. Nothing but “HIGH PRAISES” for Hampton Animal Hospital with Dr. Raymond and his staff!! :-) From Joe R and Scooby more

Owner Message

  • Founded in 1983 by Ray Geisman, D.V.M., Hampton Animal Hospital is a full service provider of veterinary care to dogs, cats, and other pets living in St. Louis City and nearby areas of south and west St. Louis county. I also provide house calls to a larger part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. We provide a full range of medical, surgical, dental, and diagnostic services.

I am the only veterinarian at the practice. So, if you choose to come here, you will not be seeing a different doctor each time you visit - I will be the one taking care of  your friend and helping you to make decisions concerning your pet’s treatment. I believe this personalized approach is one of the best services that I can offer you and your pets.

60% of my patients are dogs, 39% are cats, and the remaining 1% are hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, etc.  I have been extensively involved in the care of police dogs in the St. Louis area, and I currently work with more of them than any other veterinarian in this area.  I have been the veterinarian for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for the last 25 years, and for the St. Louis Airport Police Department for the last 14 years.  We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm, we take later appointments on most Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we are open Wednesday from 10 am until 4 pm.

We do not charge new patient set-up fees, or medical waste disposal fees.  Please call us to set up an appointment.
