ROUND 2, FOR NEW GREEK OWNER 4/15/2012

If you click on the diner, from Google Map, you will see our last review on this diner. A detailed 4 star review. This is our second review of Hamilton Diner, and i will pull no punches. Plenty of good seating, for Sunday (5:30 p.m.) Everyone was friendly, and service was quick. Barbara got the cheese steak basket with fries and coleslaw. I ordered the Veal Parmesan, salad bar, and green beans for the side. The music is still stuck in the 1950's, but on the flat screen was the Flyers hockey game. It was a trade off. I complimented the salad bar, the last time, and there were still some goodies soon to be found. Grated carrot salad with raisins, and the Ambrosia were the best. An assortment of 9 dressings was nice to see, and all easy to reach. The Cheese Steak basket had a good sized sandwich, with over a pound of steak fries. Good portions, including the coleslaw. My wife forgot to mention sauce for the steak sandwich, but said that it was very good, juicy, and tasty without it. The steak roll is hard to describe, but it looked Hearth Baked and not the manufactured ones you normally see. She ended up taking the steak fries home. Now the Veal Parmesan. On the wide platter was a good mound of spaghetti, along with a 1 lb. breaded Veal cutlet smothered with real cheese. I was surprised not to see a beam of light coming from heaven, showing me a glimpse of a miracle. The Veal was tasty, juicy, and cheesy, not like the Tofu ones at several other restaurants from Allentown to Quakertown. I felt like a King at a royal feast. Spaghetti was perfect, and the sauce had the right amount of seasonings in it, and not overpowering. The sauce was both thick and thin at the same time. Easy to work, and not competing with the veal taste. The only issue I had was the green bean side dish. It was so overcooked that you couldn't chew it. Other than that, this $11 meal was well worth the price. This is twice in a month that we had very good meals. Plenty of space, so not to feel crowded. Just take the music to a newer generation, maybe the British Invasion of the 80's, and I won't complain about it ever. Gerard and Barbara more

Decent diner food, and really fine baked goods 1/18/2011

There's conflicting reports about this diner, some questioning the meals' quality consistency, while others say it's always good. I fall into the latter camp, and have never had a bad meal here. more
