stationed at Offutt 82-84, worked Security swings and mids. could always get a beer and chili dog in the morning. Bartender was one nice woman, remember she had a daughter that came in and helped. Had lots of fun there. I think most people stopped there one time or the other, was lucky it was on my way home:) more

WOW 2/25/2012

I can't believe it's still there either ! I spent many hours in there in the 80's. Ralph Ham and his Mother ran the place. She would not stand for foul language !! I worked night shift on Offutt and we would go in there at 0730 for beer and chili dogs. Excellent ! Won some money in there on the ""pickles"" too ! more

First local bar after I turned 21 7/19/2011

I spent many nites between Jun64 till Jul65 at Hams while i was assigned to Hq SAC Offutt AFB. This was a AirForce friendly bar and remember one of the bar tenders lived in a trailer behind hams. For Christmas 1964 she gave many of the single airmen a gift cause we did not get leave to go home that year wish i could remember her name.Glad to see that its still their. God do i have many great stories (memories) to tell more

I can't believe it is still there!!! 11/30/2009

I spent many a day and night in Hams in 1965 - 67 while stationed at Offutt. ""King Suds"" (Bill Borman) and I shot team pool, ate infared sandwiches & pickled eggs, drank beer and generally had a good time til closing time every night. AS I recall, 3 women ran the bar and they held special ""feeds"" - we supplied a bunch of trout for one of them. This was the first place I ever heard of or ate Turkey fries. Fights were minimal and most just had fun. It was always a warm reception and a good crowd. Pros: Small town at it's best Cons: Bellevue is cold as hell in winter more
