I visited Theresa for the first time last week and the results were amazing! I used to hate Saturday nights because I knew my friends would call to go out. Now I wish every night was Saturday night. What a feeling! 1/19/2009

WOW...Theresa you are amazing. I don't remember the last time my girlfriend did a double look at me!! I got home after my appointment with you and she couldn't keep her eyes off of me. You have a client for life! I used to pay twice as much going to Toni and Guy and only get half the results. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Pros: Thumbs up all the way! Thank you Theresa! You changed the way I feel about my hair. I used to hate the way my hair looked but once you did your magic I love the way my hair now looks! I get compliments left and right...I especially love it when some of my friends who haven't seen me in a while say ""you look different...did you loose weight or something?"" It's such a good feeling and to think I really wanted to just shave all of my hair off!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Theresa to anyone and everyone! Even if you think you have an awesome hair stylist, you have got to check out Theresa...she even has a client who drives all the way from Dallas to come see her. You know she must be good for someone to make that drive! Pros: Theresa will let you exactly what time to come for your appointment so you don't have to wait. She also give you a very precise estimate on how long your appointment will take. She is a PRO!!!! more

Hair Studio One / Theresa Close 1/19/2009

My appointment was today, 01-19-09, with Theresa Close. I am extremely happy with the results of Theresa highliting my hair! She used the foil and applied the exact amount of bleach/color to give my hair the most beautiful blonde highlites!!!! My hair is just a little longer than shoulder length and I just love it! I was impressed at her concern to make sure the blonde highlites were the color I wanted. I asked that the color be a nice soft blonde.., not white and not a gold brassy color and that I wear my hair up alot so I wanted the highlites to be noticable but not bold. Theresa was very professional and also percise in calculating how long it would take. Pros: Plenty of time for my appointment, parking and professionalism more

Theresa Close changed my life! I feel so much better about myself now. I am constantly receiving compliments on my hair color and trendy short haircut. I was blessed to learn of this excellent hair salon when I complimented a co-worker on her color and style, then quickly asked for her hair stylist information. This co-worker had been having her hair done by hair stylist, Mauna Nilsson at Hair Studio One for a number of years and knew the information by heart. Consequently, I have been having having my hair color and haircuts done by Mauna Nilsson at Hair Studio One for approximately 2 years. She is not only highly experienced, but also up on the latest hair fashions and able to recommend and offer just the right hair products my hair. Mauna is also a very kind and friendly person. I receive many compliments on my hair and readily recommend Mauna to them. There are two other hairstylist in the salon, who are very personable and stay very busy with repeat customers as well. I give this hair salon a FIVE STAR RATING! more

FABOULOUS!!!!!! 1/17/2009

I have been going to see Theresa for almost 10 years for cut and color. Last year, I moved to NYC and tried to find someone that remotely compared to Theresa and have been terribly disappointed. So when I was home over the Christmas holidays, I called her to see if I could book an apt on that Friday. She informed me that she had planned to take the day off, but since I had been coming to see her for so long she would come in for just me. She spent 2 hours on her day off to cut and color my hair ,and it looked fabulous! I'm so thankful to have found Theresa! and have already booked my next apt in March, when I am back in Houston =) Pros: Expert Colorist, Excellent Service with a Smile, Relaxed Atmosphere more

Go to Visible changes instead of this Mistake! 1/3/2009

theresa spent 6 1/2 total hours on my wife's hair and did the worst job I've seen on hair. there were horizontal stripes on her hair on the over her ears that made her hair look like a skunk. She never offered a refund at any time and barely acknowledged that she had really messed up my wife's hair. When she went back to get it fixed theresa not only didn't have the talent to fix it but wouldn't let my wife look at her hair. Great Customer Service 10/28/2008

I found Theresa through the web and I'm glad I did...she's as so great!! I originally went in for a haircut and it turned out fantastic! Then I decided to get low tones on my curly dark brown hair and it looks great!! She was able to see me on such short notice even though I was a new client and the results were fabulous!! Seriously Over-Priced Salon 10/13/2008

Being new to the area, I always ask for recommendations of good places to go. I went here for cut, color and some suggestions prior to my upcoming wedding. Theresa did my hair - results were ok, but nothing to jump up and down over. Until I got the bill - never in my life had I paid that kind of $$ for hair services. The prices were at least 50% more than I had ever imagined that they would be. And service was very slow - too much talking and gossip. Pros: I'm thinking..... Cons: High prices - way above average more

Theresa is the best! She did highlights and color, and conditioned my hair. Also gave me a great haircut. She made my curly hair beautiful again. She is about a 45 minute drive each way for me to get there, but Theresa is SO worth the drive! more

Greatest hair style of my life!! 9/28/2008

I just moved to the area and decided to try this place based on the great reviews I've read on it, and I am so glad I did!! This place is absolutely awesome!! Theresa did my hair (which is slightly wavy and thin), and she did a spectacular job. I got a cut, color, and highlight which turned out even better than I could have imagined!! She works with you and has many pictures to help decide a style if you're still unsure of what you want. For the first time in my many years of hair coloring, I found a great stylist who knows hair and truly listens to what YOU want (I went a dramatic blonde to brown with highlights, and it looks great). Theresa is extremely talented, easy to talk to, and I would recommend to anyone who wants their hair done right. Bravo to Theresa! Pros: affordable price and fun conversation! Cons: none more

My parent's introduced me to Theresa & now I have been going to her for about 5 years since. She has done everything to chemically straightening my curly hair, adding highlights, doing my hair for homecoming & other special occasions, & regular trimmings. Whatever the case is, I always walk out of her salon satisfied. She treats every customer with a warm heart & she is also very flexible which makes her even better. more

Flexible and honest 7/21/2008

I moved to Houston about a year ago. I was concerned that I would not find anyone as good as my previous hair dresser in Australia. After much internet research I discovered Theresa. Based on her reviews I was willing to travel the 40 minutes it takes to get there and I was pleased I did as the result was worth it. I have VERY curly hair, so it is hard to find a hair dresser who is comfortable cutting and colouring hair like mine. I discussed the colouring my previous hair dresser did to my hair and I asked that Theresa did the same. She very accommodating and replicated what I previously had. Yet she also made recommendations on the cutting of my hair. So all in all, Theresa can be flexible and also honest and put forward her own beliefs. Theresa also does standard, no fuss haircuts if that is what you are after. Each time I have visited, Theresa has only worked on me and is not torn between other customers which to me is re-assuring. Theresa's prices seem reasonable. Pros: Personality Cons: Distance, but worth it. more

Being a person who has struggled all my life trying to find someone who would understand my natural curls, I feel really lucky to have found Theresa through the web. It was literally one day before my college graduation and having recently received a bad highlight, cut, and style, I was ready to try anything to help my hair. She toned down the highlights and knew just how to cut my hair. I totally trusted her and am really happy with the results. It?s the best style I?ve ever had and my hair is absolutely shiny and gorgeous. I would recommend Theresa to anyone who has had issues with their curls. She?s got that magic touch. Tremendous Place to get your hair done. 5/14/2008

At Hair Studio One, they do a tremendous job! Therisa is my hair dresser and she has ALWAYS done a wonderful job on my hair. Not once has she done a bad job. I am always satisfyed with what she does!! :) The hair dressers are great to talk to, and seem to love talking to you and do a GREATTT job with hair. Also they are very bendable. I always seem to get an appointment when I need one, which is just AWSOME! Pros: They do amazing dies. I love getting highights. Searching for a salon with a great stylist who understands color & curly hair? You've just found it! 3/1/2008

I made an appointment with Theresa after being frustrated with a large (and pricy!) national chain. My shoulder-length fine dark brown curly hair was over-highlighted, brassy & very dry. Theresa listened to my needs and she recommended a beautiful semi-permanent, conditioning color with fewer (& darker) highlights. She took great care of my hair & very carefully added strategic highlights: my hair takes color very quickly, so she had to literally apply & remove the bleach as she went. It was a time-consuming process and Theresa didn't charge one cent more for doing it. Pros: Great location, very friendly & experienced staff, easy to book appointments, Theresa LOVES working with curly hair Cons: Bring cash or a checkbook (no credit cards accepted) more
