I've been a hair extension and color client of Mary's for 18 yrs. She fixed a mess that another salon made on my hair. I love my hair and recommend that if u need anything done to your hair, go see Mary. She has been doing extensions longer than most hairdressers in the area, more than 25 yrs. If you are interested in Fusion Hair Extensions, I highly recommend going to Hair Unlimited and seeing Jill. She did a fantastic job on my hair and is such a nice person, plus her prices cannot be beat. Jill took my hair from a shoulder length bob to hair half way down my back. Hands down, the best in JAX! A friend of mine recommended Hair Unlimited when I moved to Jacksonville and I have to admit I was skeptical at first because I've been going to the same hairdresser for years and didn't know what to expect. The salon is very friendly, the staff is excellent and I am very pleased with my hair, it never felt this healthy and shiny. My hair was very damaged and the keratin treatment I've received was amazing. It used to take me 45 min. to flat iron my hair, now it takes me 10 and no tangles!!! I love my haircut it's exactly what I wanted. Thanks Guys! more

I came to Jacksonville for a Wedding and was desperate to find a salon to get a haircut for the rehearsal. Hair Unlimited was the first salon I found by my hotel. I walked in an I was greeted with a smile, everyone was professional and I felt comfortable right away. Hannah cut my hair and styled it for me and I must say, it was the best hair cut I've received in a very long time. I usually go home and have to adjust the style and she did it so perfectly I didn't have to do anything with it. It was Perfect! Her prices were reasonable, I actually went back the next day and had her style my hair again for the wedding. I highly recommend Hannah, she was sweet, knew what she was doing and gave me exactly what I asked for. I will definitely see her again when I come to visit. more

I lived in Jax for years and had finally found the perfect stylist. I did what they say you should do, find someone with amazing hair and ask them who did it. It turns out, the woman I asked had done the same thing, so Robin at Hair Unlimited (Balzano and Company at the time) came triple recommended. I've moved to Colorado now, but I was a faithful Robin devotee until I moved. I was her customer for years and always got amazing haircuts. She knows her stuff, she is a perfectionist, she pays attention to what's best for your hair and your face, and she is great about telling you what will work and what won't. She is amazing. more

I like to comment on the review from Pengie82, who knows everything about hair extensions.\r I have been a client of Mary's for 15 years, and I also know that she has alot of other clients that has been going to her for years, and I think I speak for all of us when i say that we would not know what to do without Mary. She is professional and friendly, so is the rest of the staff at Balzano & Company, and this is the first time I have ever heard of someone not being satisfied with their extensions. And I don't understand how someone who has never had hair extensions before is an expert overnight. For this young lady's information, there are many ways of doing hair exstensions, and alot of people do them different than others, but that doesn't make one way wrong and another way right. And whoever told this young lady that Mary's way was wrong is really a very unprofessional hairdresser that should have refered her back to Mary if she wasn't happy, and given Mary a chance to take care of her client and make it right, instead of taking the hair out.\r What it comes down to is that this young lady who is from out of town, came to Jacksonville, wanted longer hair for Saturday night. Mary, who had left for the day, came back to the salon to attend to this young lady, who left the salon with longer hair, was satisfied, and paid for the service. But she only wanted to wear the hair that weekend, she probably could not afford it in the first place, so she makes a scene to try to get her money back.\r Well, Mary did nothing wrong, and I have heard of people buying a dress, wearing it and then trying to return it, but HAIR....... you've to be kidding!! I went to the Balzano Co for my very first pair of hair extensions. The price was expected since you get what you pay for these days, but the lack of professionalism and clearly mediocre experience that their hair extension ""professional"" claimed to have was/and still is jaw dropping. First off, instead of braiding an entire row of hair (for the sewing technique) she braided about half an inch of little individual braids (about 5 in total around the crown of my scalp) and then sewed onto those pulling them across my head not even connecting to the next. Not only did this create individual pulling areas on my scalp, which were very painful, but it also left sagging parts where it wasn?t connected to any hair! Mary Sheehan then decided to take her ?22 years of expertise? and added not one track at a time, BUT FOUR! She claimed that it was because I had thick hair and wanted it to blend in. When asking her questions about this and ways to take care of it, she replied with short answers always appearing to have been put out of her way! FOUR tracks is supposed to be used for several layers, not all sewn onto ONE. After sewing 4 tracks to my head, she then asked if I wanted a trim to blend the hair. So sure, I thought it would be a great idea. Not so much. She proceeded with grabbing hunks of my long natural hair and took thinning sheers to it! So, now I have little hairs that stick up everywhere instead of the desired haircut which I wanted. And yes, I was still charged an additional $20 for that. If I didn?t take myself to another salon to have my hair looked at, I would have never known the mediocrity which flowed from Mary Sheehan?s hands and definitely would have lost my hair due to it. I highly recommend not going to see Mary Sheehan for extensions and definitely not for a haircut since she seems to think that thinning sheers are the best way to cut hair! \r Pros: They have electricity and running water Cons: No people skills, lack of communication with customers, unable to correctly add hair extensions, unprofessional and extremely uneducated in cutting hair more
